A little over a month ago, I found out about Cent. Cent is a small community of awesome people where many different things are shared. You can post about pretty much anything you can think of. Think Twitter, but without the limitation of post size. I have seen & follow many artists there who create both digital & physical art pieces. Art, so far, has been my favorite content on Cent as there are many artists & I really enjoy the abstract & gif forms of it.
The vision of Cent is "income from anywhere". They believe that a person should be able to earn an income from wherever they are & whatever they do. I love this idea because I agree with such a thing. The economy runs on ETH which can be used for a few different things & this is how you can earn money on Cent. You can seed a post which is like giving a tip. You will also earn a small amount back from anyone who seeds a post after you do. The more people that seed, the more the author & 1st seeders earn.
The same goes for tipping replies, but this is more of an actual tip. I don't believe you earn from tips after yours. This idea is quite similar to how voting works on Steem, but the community on Cent is far more interactive & you're not limited in how often you can comment/reply.
You can also compete on a post with a bounty to give the best reply. A bounty post will go for a certain length of time before replies need to be sorted.
Sorting is th 3rd way you can earn on Cent. When a post is in the sorting phase, you can sort which replies you think were better. This doesn't earn you very much, but it does add up.
Like any platform on the internet, Cent is not without spam or low quality replies. If you want to get the most out of the platform, it is best to be an active participant. Interact with the community, meet each other & maybe start making your own posts for people to enjoy. I really enjoy being on Cent. It's a platform I regularly check back to throughout the day & that's not just to sort posts! I may not comment all the often, but enjoy seeing. That's why art content is so good for me because I can just look and admire.
