Illegal Cryptocurrency Mining: Iran govt. offers up to 20% reward

Mostafa Rajabi, a spokesman of Irans energy ministry announced in an interview last October 13, that anyone who can divulge or reveal the illegal cryptocurrency miners in the country will be given a reward up to 20% from the recovery of the damaged caused on the power sector.

This project is to develop new regulations by regulators that the rate of the electricity used by miners of crytpocurrentcies should be strongly calculated.

In line with this, individuals, corporations and companies are expected to report non-compliance on the said regulation. Aside from that they look forward to all the miners of crytpcurrency in the country must not use subsdized electricity to mine crytocurrencies like bitcoin. Police men are now starting to search and investigate in some places where the rate of electricity usage is subsidized.

this law is being enacted to suppress illegal miners.
