Ethereum founder, Vitalik Buterin donates more than 50 trillion SHIB (Shiba Inu) coins, worth around a Billion dollar to India's COVID relief fund!

Yes, you are reading it right, it is a Billion US Dollar, making it one of the largest ever crypto donations!

And that too, this coming at a time when India truly struggles in its fight against the pandemic, with shortage of resources especially hospital beds and oxygen cylinders, means a lot. Thus, making Buterin a true hero in the hearts of billions of Indians.

At the same time, this news had sent shock waves in the crypto world, with the SHIB dropping in value by around 30-35%. But meanwhile, the founder of India's Crypto COVID relief fund and co-founder of Polygon cryptocurrency, Sandeep Nailwal, tweeted thanking Buterin and assuring the whole community, especially the SHIB crypto investors, that he will plan for a thoughtful liquidation, slowly over a period of time and will not do anything that will hurt the retail community.

It is a great gesture and it needs a big heart, even though Buterin has got these SHIB coins as gifts from the creators of this Shiba Inu meme coin.

And by the way, this is not the first donation by Buterin to India's COVID relied fund. In April, he donated 100 ETH and 100 MKR, worth around 0.6 million US dollars.

Thanks Buterin! Way to go..
