Hi everyone, Patate here, and this is a follow-up to my Walrus article I wrote a couple days ago.
Yesterday, on April 8th, the Cetus team announced on discord that they just officially moved the Cetus UI website from testnet to mainnet on the Walrus Protocol. Thus, this is a decentralized exchange (DEX) on a decentralized hosting network. Their new website is available on https://hicetus.wal.app/ . It is the same features, but now on a decentralized website, which is pretty nice. Cetus coin and Walrus has been growing a lot recently with Sui and has seen significant use cases.
I frankly always use Cetus on the Sui network and have always liked the platform. As a disclaimer, I do have a few cetus staked in their platform which gives me a 36,57% APR, but my share is less than 0,01% so it's not like I'm a big player in their platform. I only have about 145 xCetus, so staked Cetus.

As you can see, this is just me liking the platform and not shilling because of financial interests. Anyhow, this is great in the industry and should be followed with other players like Bluefin and Kriya in order to stop relying on Amazon, Google, Microsoft and other big tech's hosting business. This allows more independance from them and gives a better reason to start using Walrus based applications. I welcome this change and would love to see more.
So, what do you think? Do you want to see more websites start using Walrus or other decentralized storage protocols? I'd love to see your thoughts. As always, this is Patate, so take care and see you next time :)
