Usually you have to complete a captcha and press "claim".
Most of them make micro-payments on a off-chain wallet for every claim.
It's a great way to get started with cryptocurrencies.

For those who don't know, I'm also a musician.
In mid-2017 my band and I started posting on Steemit and taking part on the Open Mic Contest.
This is how I got the most amount of cryptocurrencies: Posting real content!
At that time we earned the equivalent of $317 with this video on Steemit!
Now there are some new social media platforms rewarding in crypto other then Steemit.
