Why Publish0x is the Best Blogging Website

By CryptoOwen | crypto owen | 17 Apr 2020

I enjoy Publish0x for a multitude of reasons. Having tried out many different blogging and/or social media sites, here is why this has quickly become my favorite & why I recommend everyone to use it.

Steemit is a huge site that immediately comes to mind as a competitor of sorts. It is a similar model but you can only post a certain amount of times per day, & chances are you won't earn anything. I tried using the site for months to no avail- earning maybe 3 cents per post, posts that I spent up to an hour writing. I don't think that is quite fair & provides no incentive for me to do so. It's a blogging site completely run by whales. You have to pay to use it more or less. Not that it's the end of the world but I don't like that model. I'd rather be able to write up an article, put some time in, and at least get SOMETHING for my efforts. Also you can't go commenting as much as you'd like- they heavily limit it since everything has to get recorded on the blockchain. While this may seem cool or novel, I don't think it's a great site overall. I give Steemit a 2.5/5.

Another one is medium. Now medium may have more users overall & you can swiftly link your gmail to it, yet it really isn't cryptocurrency oriented so I'm not going to support it. I believe whenever you can, you should go out of your way to support the cryptocurrency oriented websites. For this reason I'd much rather use Brave browser than Google Chrome. Nothing wrong with Medium but it still lacks in the department of having little or nothing to do with crypto. I'd say 4/5 though.

There are a few other social media sites that I've tried out & could mention like Uptrendd, Friendster, Twetch, etc but these more are geared towards audiences who like Facebook type websites. Uptrendd is worth trying I'd say as an alternative but lacks the userbase that larger social media websites put forth- you won't find your aunt using it. Same with Friendster although I'd say that are a little more streamlined & closer to getting huge. They also have some sort of video platform tied in, which I haven't tried out yet but it's probably worth looking into. Twetch isn't terrible although they make you pay for everything from liking to posting to even switching to dark mode, which I can't quite justify. Someone is getting rich off you posting things that probably will be liked by one person. I can't advocate for a play to use model, it's archaic in a sense & not many outside of the BSV cult would actually use the site. It's not terrible though, certainly worth checking out if you have a decent following.

Note is one of the best cryptocurrency oriented social media platforms I've seen because you don't have to pay anything to post or upload content & you can easily tip your friends in $NTBC, their native currency, which actually trades somewhere meaning you can make some money (albeit low amounts) by posting & interacting with your peers. Would highly recommend trying it as an alternative to centralized social media sites, if you are just looking to shoot the breeze with your crypto pals. But overall my favorite social media & blogging site? It's Publish0x.

This site runs off a model where users are PAID to tip other users, meaning if you want to make some money on here, you either have to publish solid content, or simply tip others for publishing solid content daily. That's an excellent model. You don't pay anything from your own pocket. It comes out of the tip pool. Very solid idea. I like also that there are multiple coin offerings on here & they aren't coins/tokens that are controlled by Publish0x. Meaning Publish0x doesn't have a $PB0X coin or something, where they would look to profit off others transacting in the coin. They have Bounty but I've never been tipped in that or have tipped anyone else in that. It's almost always $BAT, $DAI, or now $LRC. Awesome stuff! 3rd party crypto offerings which you can earn to tip your friends or fellow writers. This is overall the best blogging site because it doesn't feel centralized, doesn't seem like just a few whales scoop up all the tips, & anyone can publish as many or as little articles as they'd like while actually standing a chance to earn a few bucks in the process of teaching others. If that isn't a cool idea, I don't know what is!

Support Publish0x, share articles on other social media platforms to bring new users here to grow the infrastructure, and DON'T FORGET TO TIP. It is free ya know. You have nothing to lose, only something to earn. Nothing wrong with choosing 70-80% of the rewards for yourself. It's not selfish, it's thrifty & you are still essentially paying the author, just not out of your own pocket.

Anyway I'm glad to be a part of this friendly, welcoming, and excellent community & I believe the future is looking bright for us all, whether you simply read articles on here, or actually create some yourself! Cheers friends, cryptocurrency IS the future in this increasingly digital era we live in. Congrats, you've made it this far & yet we've only just begun. Many great things are just ahead on the horizon. Don't forget it.
