Well, as the title says. I learned my lesson the hard way when it came down to where I kept my crypto. With Exchanges like FTX and Voyager filing for bankruptcy, I would totally recommend you keep your crypto in either a hard wallet or a more stable digital wallet like Metamask. While I never used the Exchange FTX I had some of a similar result in some assets lost through Voyager. Mind you it was only 1 Eth and like 30mil Shiba.

I had those tokens in the Voyager Exchange app because when I transferred them to Voyager they were offering a pretty good APR for Both. Shiba was I think at like 5% and Eth was like 7%. Fast forward like a couple months of me just letting them sit there, the % went down to 2% for Both. And while I was disappointed the APR went down after I put them on there (gas fees were high when I transferred them) I was just going to HODL until the next bull run and exchange them for USDC for my modest profit. Right before FTX went down, Voyager filed for bankruptcy.

I usually try and keep up on the latest Crypto news. But I found out a little to late. They froze everyone Assets. What I found particularly weird was you could still buy crypto from their exchange but you couldn't transfer or sell your assets. FTX tried to buy them out but then their big failure came to light. Then Binance tried the same thing to no avail. luckily they are trying to give people back some of their assets. Currently I have recovered 23% of my assets and they are trying to figure out if they are able to give out any more after initial recovery. 

Point of my article is...… Keep your Crypto off Exchanges and keep them either in Hard wallets like Ledger https://www.ledger.com/  Or someplace like Metamask https://metamask.io/ now I didn't lose to much money relatively speaking. But its still money I wish I had. Don't learn the hard way like I did. Take my advice, do your research and lets all go to the moon!!!!
