I hope you had a great Christmas and enjoyed your time with your families. Christmas should bring us closer and more united, so it's important to spend our time with our close ones, because family and friendship are more important than anything in the world. After all, when BTC goes down or any other investment, all we have left is our family. Nothing is more important than this.
Going back to the main purpose of this post, I would like to share with you what I just found out. In my long journey, full of obstacles and mysteries, to learn as much as possible about crypto, I came across with something really interesting - SpiderDAO. Honestly, at the beginning I said "What is this?, another shitty coin, another shitty project, another useless thing that some people created just to fill the crypto-market with something and gain recognition and visibility". But you now what, I was so wrong. After reading for almost four days everything I could find on the Internet about SpiderDAO, my preconception was totally wrong. The project is amazing with promises that are more possible to happen than of many other existing projects.
I will describe my SpiderDAO adventure step-by-step, especially for those that haven't heard of this yet.
The official website of SpiderDAO (which you can find here) has many good characteristics: it has mobile compatibility and it works really good. Also, the desktop version of the website looks nice. It is accessible to almost all users, especially unexperienced, elders and why not disabled. It would be an advantage for SpiderDAO if the developers would create a version for blind people too so that they can easily explore the world of SpiderDAO (as a matter of fact, this should be for all websites). Moreover, what I liked the most, in comparison with other crypto-websites that I've explored so far, is that the structure and the information is well planned and the content is well-formatted so that if you need to find a specific thing you can easily find it. Furthermore, the loading time is actually quite good and the navigation very effective. The forms can be filled in without errors.
In conclusion, at least from this point of view, SpiderDAO looks like a very professional project, so congratulations to the developers.
Now, going a little deeper......
What is SpiderDAO?
I am a bit disappointed that I couldn't find just one definition, but this is due to the fact that SpiderDAO does many things and it's pretty much impossible to define the entire project in just a couple of words. Anyway, after reading all that I could find about SpiderDAO, I think this is the best way to describe what it actually is and what it actually does. Simple, but to the core:
SpiderDAO proposes a set of tools to bring online privacy to the end user.
The Whitepaper contains all the technical stuff about SpiderDAO and I highly recommend to read it. It's a nice lecture and the content is very easy to read and to understand all the details.
SpiderDAO has gained a lot of attention lately. The SPDR token has something different and I'm referring to utility, which I like the most. Basically you can stake, so you can do some liquidity mining, but also the token has another utility and that utility is the fact that you can use their VPN with this token. They already have some existing services and the routers. These routers are currently used by more than 6400 people in the world in more than 18 countries. This is the product.
With this product, the developers want to solve a problem and that problem has decentralized autonomous organizations.
SpiderDAO wants to tackle Plutocracy. Plutocracy is when certain individuals have more power over the others because of their wealth and in the crypto-world these individuals are known as whales. These whales have an unfair advantage, they are able to accumulate large amounts of tokens and then they have their own way of taking over the governor's speech.
Buying voting rights, this is the rise of dog dials where you can use smart contracts to undermine the trust of the voting system and market manipulation. Eventually, this will lead to taking over the government system.
SpiderDAO developers see these problems as exploitation of governance within DAOs a huge problem.
The challenge is that traditional DAO models are subject to attack and take over by plutocracies controlled by wealthy whales and the solution is a presented as the introduction of a dual-governance model that bundles hardware & software tools with on-chain elements, providing a "whale-resistant" governance solution.
What I like the most about this coin is that they already have a product, actually quite for a few years. If we go on the Pitch Deck section of the website, they actually have a VPN, a router and a public team, which is very important to know who the developers are.
Also, the visibility of the team means that the project is designed to last or at least is designed to function on a long-term. SpideDAO has a very promising roadmap.
As I was saying, they've got their own router, which they have been selling it since 2017. I've read many reviews about this router and pretty much all of them were positive, the router is very good and I'm thinking to buy it for myself too.
It has network monitoring, parental controls, IP Filtering/ Blocking, Kill Switch Control, Geo Filtering for Gamers, AdBlocker, Deep packet inspection (DPI), Band Steering and Adblocking Techniques. The router is awesome. I haven't seen so far any other coin on UniSwap that has a physical product. SpiderDAO has!!
Most of the other UniSwap have anonymous teams, which are not active and die off in the end. But with SpiderDAO I can actually see what is happening, I can feel the vibe. I don't understand what listing on Binance is, but from what I understood, I'm not surprised if this will be listed on Binance soon.
Also, SpiderDAO has more than 6400 users, 350TB of monthly traffic and it's available in more than 18 countries. It means that VPN software and routers have been provided since 2017.
One of the thins that I also like is the community. The Telegram group is very active with 5107 members and almost 1k active, pretty much all the time. Twitter is also good to get more information about SpiderDAO.
