welcome to my first blog on medium For anyone intrested I post about crypto on publish0x so this is not my first time blogging. This is the first time i’ve decided to step outside my comfort zone and create a $100,000 demo portfolio to prove to anyone that is is not impossiable to beat the market but infact easy. But before I start, I would like to share a few reasons to to create this blog, My investment philosophy and some background about me. So lets jump straight into it
Reasons for creating this blog
- To create value. As a person who belives in maximising value creation can help make a better humanity in the long run making everyone to have a higher quality of living for all.(refer to this video for more)
- To share my knowledge/journey. Keeping it simple I learnt a lot about finance in the past two years i want to share it in an easy to understand way to benifit the most people
- To inspire people. you get the point my goal is to inspire you to make better finincial habits to help you out
- To improve my english. This is an purely selfish reason i’m bad at english and I belive blogging should help my english
About me: There is northing much to say in this section all you need to know is i’m a 17 year old from india intrested in finance. Who wants to help people to be good with their money.
Investment philosophy: I belive that markets move in cycles and we need to find signs that the market is moving in a particular trend and invest in the highest quality companies with solid track record thet are in an industry favroable to the trend. (ex: tech outperforms in normal times, commodities in inflationary and consumer staples in recession). This is just an brief overview of my philosophy I will go more details in future blogs.
Now that the BS is over I’ll start by saying to that you whatever the circumstances you are in just remember that tomorrow will always be better than today and all you need to do is live below your means and enjoy what you have
Moving on this demo portfolio is made using investopedia’s simulator I plan to update people on each trade and why i’m doing it also I would like to share my plans going forward with this portfolio.

As you can see my current portfolio is setup for the recession theme, my plan is to short the companies that do poorly in recessions and take to proceeds to invest in high quality companies which typically out perform in resessions.
