Illuvium is a AAA crypto game, which is in various forms of beta right now. It actually has 3 games that are interconnected: A land building game that creates fuel and blueprints (and this is in Alpha-you must own land to play) for the main game which is called Overworld and features exploring amazing landscapes (eventually seven!) and capturing Illuvials, which are Pokemon type NFTS with various powers, that can then be brought to the Arena where you will eventually fight other players.  These will also be transferable to use with powers in other games created in the future. 

The quality of the graphics in this game are unlike anything else I have seen in crypto gaming, and I like how the Illuvium creators (which report to a dao run by the ILV token holders, which is amazing also!) focus is on making a fun game, that is fair to players. You can not buy Illuviums you can only capture them in the overworld, so you don't have the typical issue of play to earn games that quickly become pay to win games. The open beta for the Overworld should be ready by mid-year, but you can waitlist to play the beta now. There will always be a free version for all three games but you have limited financial benefits from "tier zero". 

Now, on to Illuvitars! I have links to the website and blogs related to Illuvium below, and I have done quite a bit of research on this project, but you should always do your own. Though parts of the game could become valuable overtime, I would encourage you to see it as a multi-dimensional game that will eventually be comprised of 9 or more separate but interconnected games and you invest in it to be challenged and have fun. The reason I'm writing this now is the first release of Illuvitars will be on March 7th. They will be collectable nfts, like Pokemon, with some choices more rare than others. I like that they have kept the package affordable, unless you want the high-end alpha. There will be albums to store your illuvitars and can be used as your face in the game. Their will be themes to complete for rewards. 

You will need to set up an account and connect a wallet, and either use the Illuvidex marketplace or the IMX nft marketplace. IMX is the backbone for the marketplaces and runs on zero gas fees, though there are commission to pay to sell something. Overall IMX does a great job and will be releasing a wallet soon that makes it even easier to play this and other games that run through the IMX marketplace. The alpha part of the sale is the first three days, and then the rest of the sale runs for three months. Sometime during the three months there will be another wave of Illuvitars that become available to purchase. 

I encourage you to look into this project on all levels and see if it has any interest for you. And also know eventually the proceeds from the game, other sales including plushies, and Illuvitars in the future will be shared with ILV token holders who stake, which can be easily done through the Illuvium site. All in all a quality project with a great team that appears to be doing things the right way. Come ride the wave :)
