I have included links below to the referral process, how to sign up and how to play, but for some insider ideas here goes:

  • you will be given a free stack of cards and the option to use some of their gods starter kits....please don't use those! They do not have enough diversity in cards and playing options and have too many cards that cost too much to play in this game.
  • put together your own deck of 30 using lower mana cards, with few above 5 mana. The mana is given to you each round it's your turn and goes up by one for you to bring your cards from your hand to your playing surface. So over 5 turns would be needed before you can play a 6 mana card (though some have enough power or abilities to add one or two).
  • research the gods powers (each have 3 different ones) and the style of cards available under the gods (which are color coded). There are neutral cards (not belonging to any god) that can be used with any gods deck and some of these are quite useful. Remember to go through the tutorials to get an idea of board layout and playing, and some solo play against the computer.
  • The player who goes first gets 1 extra mana and the person who gets second gets 3 extra mana (these can only be added 1 per turn). Be thoughtful about using them as saving them for mid-game can often lead to victory with an extra card or higher mana card at the right time.
  • there are some cards available on the right side of the board for either player for points you earn through the game play. Some of these cards are so so, but a few offer great value and can be an additional card to play to great effect in some games (e.g. removing an opponents relic).
  • and speaking of relic, one unique card to play is called a relic and some of these offer special abilities. You don't want too many of these because you can only use one and they fill the relic spot till expired or removed by your opponent, but having a few strategic ones can really help your game play.
  • some of the cards build together, so having the same subset of a gods deck may allow you to build up the attack power or health of your related cards. (and remember as you play you will be rewarded more cards, and they have 100s of different ones)
  • Front line cards (and they are labeled as such) can be quite powerful as the block attacks on your other cards on the board and your god, until they are destroyed. Yet you don't want too many of them as there are more powerful cards for attacking you want to be able to get on your board (and your board is limited to six cards at a time).

Well, that is probably enough info for now. It can take a little to learn all the nuances of this game that makes it so fun and challenging, so be patient with yourself. I'll have more tips on another post, and with the weekend tourney starting on Friday now is a great time to sign up and start to play to get some of the bonus rewards that let you receive or buy cards. You'll be a god in no time and enjoying the process of playing and developing your different gods decks.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments, and may the gods be with you :)
