Hello everyone! Thank you for reading this post.
I hope people in Lebanon and Gaza will soon come back to a peaceful life. But I know this hope is illusory, and for many reasons.
I'm not here to accomplish a deep geopolitical analysis; but what's happening now in the world can be summarised in a few numbers:
- The total death tool (up to now) in Gaza, because of the Israeli ongoing massacre
- The total death tool among Ukrainian civilians and soldiers plus Russian soldiers
- The astonishing amount of money flowing to the weapon industries AND it's increased rate in the past few years
Please have a look at this link: (you can find it also at the end of this post)
it's the top 100 industries involved in "defence" around the world, with their NET incomes. There is also a comparison between 2023 and 2022.
I'm pretty disgusted by this state of the things, aren't you?
I feel uncomfortable in living in the "rich part of the world" right now (I'm Italian), because most western countries are simply waiting for those wars to end by themselves, i.e. after the massacres get completed with the victory of the democracies.
Where is humanity? We left it under a bag full of dollars.
I can't imagine how many people will suffer for poor medical services or poor educational systems because the money is not enough.
But when it's time to buy or financing some rocket system or some other new fancy war machine then it's fine to go with billions of debt.
The wars will not stop easily, the money involved is simply too much.
Yet the US is not ready for a multipolar world, and they stick to imposing their rules all around the globe. This can't last forever: it's not me, it's just history.
One day China, India, Iran and some African states will rule the world; I hope they'll be nice with the west, not repeating the film again, for once.
