I have been a fan of geolocation apps or games for a long time. My first intro to this was a game called "Ingress". It made traveling so much more fun especially with friends to play with. Then came the infamous game "Pokemon GO". I have had my share of playing both awesome games. I really like the gaming and interacting with the real world aspect, discovering gems that I would have never found without these type of games. Now I have discovered this new app "Coin: Always be earning". Before we get into the fun part, lets see the team behind this awesome platform.

XYO is the team behind this app. They started off in the ending of 2017, with a vision to help developers around the world to understand the benefits of decentralization, and the benefits from a infinitely growing location data protocol. XYO is a decentralized network of devices that anonymously collects and validates geospatial data. This blockchain technology has potential to benefit lots of different real-world situations. Coin: Always be earning

This app is amazing and I believe they have lots of potential to grow. At first I did not think there would be too much interaction or options to the platform, I had assumed all I would do is walk around and get points or something. Well this platform taught me a good lesson on assuming. Many different unique features actually make this platform really entertaining. Ok well lets go through the basics. You start off with 1000 app coins, this is different from XYO tokens which is their cryptocurrency. In-game you will be collecting these coins. There are many different ways you can earn these coins.

• First obvious way is through walking around and mining different tiles around, the entire global grid is tiled out, so you can mine from the spot your standing on!! After collecting a certain required amount of geomines an option to auto collect becomes available.
• If you mine the same tile 3 times in a row, you receive an option to create a Home Base. This will allow the square you were on and the 8 squares adjacent to it to become your home base. You will be allowed to mine on these tiles with a increasing bonus of 10% more coins collected on your Home Base every hour up to a total of a 100% bonus value at 10 hours. This allows you to play from home or work without having to worry about missing out.
• Randomly you may find "Big Geomines" these are large amounts of points that can be found when traveling. Additionally every big geomine that is collected GLOBALLY becomes available to 'witness'. If you are one of the first 200 witnesses, you will receive additional coins. Witnessing is done through a simple click on the notification that a geomine was found. Also all the geomines collected creates a daily jackpot prize. This prize will be awarded to a random member who has witnessed a geomine within that past day. The more geomines you witness the higher of a chance you get to win the daily jackpot. This is done at the end of every UTC day.
• Rewarded scans are also a cool feature, this allows you to select a nearby store and see the items that may be scanned for additional coins.
• Every individual will have a bonus drop every 7 days. This bonus drop can be upgraded throughout the 7 day period starting at level 1 and capping at a level 10 bonus drop. 
• They have a HODL feature, every 24 hours you may collect a portion of coins according to the amount of coins you have in your balance.
• And last but not least you can earn coins through the traditional faucet way, watching ads, filling out surveys and referrals.

As you can see they have implemented lots of different ways to interact and collect coins. But as mentioned these coins are not the actual currency. These coins can be redeemed for prizes once you have reached the required amount. Once you have 10,000+ coins you may trade it for the equivalent in XYO tokens, but some of the other prizes are really nice as well. You may redeem points for some BTC or ETH although the requirements are a little high. They also have some apparel and collectibles that look really tempting at a price that is not too intimidating.

I have just started using this app yesterday and in the first day I was able to collect 373 coins. I do use these new platforms extensively in the beginning to really try and get a understanding of the product. I also play from home since I am currently a stay at home dad, so I have not had the opportunity to travel in search of big geomines or reward scans. But with what I have been able to try so far I am pleasantly impressed at the amount of ways you can earn coins.
