What is Presearch?

Presearch is a decentralized privacy search engine. You get rewarded in PRE - the native Token- just by searching everyday stuff. 

How does it work?

Advertisers stake buy PRE and stake it on keywords they want to get advertised on. The more PRE is staked on a keyword, the more likely they will get advertised. You as a user get a share of that PRE if you google that keyword and get an ad. Simple as that.

Additionally you can power the network with a node. Since it's decentralized, the network doesn't buy power at one big serverfarm like google or such do. They rely on users and the computing power they are willing to ad. Node operators also get rewarded on PRE.

But if I send my search request to just anybody how is it secure?

Well, the Presearch Team is always working hard to make their Nodeoperating program as secure as possible. It's not open source, so unfortunately we have to trust that it's as secure as can be. But if you trust google with literally all your search requests, why not a decentralized network? It's much harder to gather a full profile from maybe 2 or 3 requests the same operator gets from one person. 

Can I run a node?

Yes. I will not go into detail, but you need 1000PRE, the Node program and a okayish PC. For more visit https://nodes.presearch.org/ . The operating rewards also seem kinda good, so if you can do it, you might wanna try it. 

Why should i use it and not google?

There are several reasons you should use Presearch and not Google. 

a) Targeted ads: Google literally creates a psychological profile of you, just thorugh Cookies and gathered Data. On this basis, they advertise product specific for you so you might buy them, even if you don't need them. Or they can manipulate your opinion on something. IMO it's highly unethical. Presearch doesn't gather those Data.

b) Money: You can earn up to 8 PRE a day (32 searches). At the current price of 0,08€ thats only 0,36€ a day, but ~10€ a month. What does google give you for their advertising? Yeah. I thought so. It's literally free money. 

There are many reasons to use presearch, but I have to say, the quality of the search results is only okayish. But I have high hopes for this project and will use it anyway. It's free money and honestly ... f google.
