Allllllrighty friends. Today, we'll be learning how to sell those high-value .Crypto domains we found in Part 3 of the series.
Let's jump straight into it!
1. Make sure all domains you want to list for sale are claimed
We went over this in PART 2, but here's a refresher:
Unstoppable Domains --> My Domains --> Select domains --> Claim
2. List your domains on OpenSea
Once your desired domains are claimed to your MetaMask wallet, it's time to make an account on the world's largest crypto product marketplace: OpenSea. If you haven't heard of it, think of it as the Amazon of crypto. Tons of products and collectibles for projects like "Crypto Kitties" "Decentraland", and tons of other games and services. But today, all we care about is those juicy .Crypto Domains!
To get selling, go to:
Account --> My Items
Select the domain you want to sell, then click "Sell" (I told you this was easy ;) )
Now for the hardest part: Pricing
It's impossible to confidently give advice on pricing .Crypto domains in 2020, because nobody knows how much value we're sitting on. The only rules I have followed while pricing domains is:
1. I always browse through a mixture of recent sales, "recent highest sales" to gauge the market before setting a listing price.
2. I'd rather set prices too high than too low. (It's far more likely that .Crypto domains go UP in the future than DOWN.)
Tip: Scrolling through the "Browse" section to see what other domains are selling for is also a great way to find inspiration for new domains to buy.
3. Go back and mark all listed domains as "For Sale" on Unstoppable Domains
Now that we've finished listing all of our domains on OpenSea, we want to make it clear to all Unstoppable Domains searchers that your domains are on the market! (It would be sweet if this happened automatically after you listing your domains on OpenSea, but for now, this step is essential.)
Go back to Unstoppable Domains --> My Domains --> Manage --> I want to sell this domain
Note: You'll be asked if you want to attach an email address to the domain. I'm torn on this since it definitely makes it easier for people to contact you...but at the same time, I don't know if I want to open myself up to email spam. If you enable this option, let me know if it helps you make sales!
Another note: There is currently no way to "Bulk mark for sale" if you've listed a ton of domains like I did. This may have to do with the fact that we're editing blockchain assets, but regardless, I hope UD makes it possible to do this in the future.
Once you've checked this box and saved your changes on each listed domains, anyone that searches for your domain will see this:
Nice! It's an extra bonus that it links the interested buyer directly to your "For Sale" page on OpenSea.
