The year is 2050. In the years after The Great Inflation, which saw the United States Dollar crash and lose favor as the world currency. Many countries struggled to find a good replacement as no specific country had a stranglehold on the world economy like the United States did when their currency was placed as the world currency. After much bickering between countries, Bitcoin became the most favorable option. It had no specific country that it might favor and was completely decentralized. 

Miners from every country worked hard to make sure that this network was as secure as it could be. Trillions of transactions in Bitcoin occurred everyday. Crypto had succeeded in overtaking fiat as the global currency. All was well in the crypto world. Everything except that the criminal underworld, combined with jealous nations who wanted control of the world currency, were about to attempt to centralize Bitcoin. 

A group called Satoshi's Martyrs were the criminal group that spearheaded this heist. It was their goal, along with countries like China, The United States, and the United Kingdom. These once sprawling economies were taken from their economic seat of power by the implementation of Bitcoin. Their jealousy of the success of Bitcoin meant that they sent their best hackers to attempt to break the encryptions of Bitcoin. When their best hackers failed to break the encryption, they decided to aid the Satoshi's Martyrs who were a criminal organization. 

The Satoshi's Martyrs main target was the crypto mine in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon Rainforest had been commonly referred to as Bitcoin Rainforest, as Brazil had halted deforestation for Bitcoin mining. This meant that Brazil had the largest reserve of Bitcoin in the world at this time. The specific location that the Bitcoin was held in was a military type compound akin to the United States Pentagon. It's large concrete structure meant that anyone trying to enter from the outside would have a tough time. This compound was the Brazilian Bitcoin Vault. Home to over 8 million Bitcoin.

Years of upgraded Bitcoin mining rigs had been improved so that they didn't heat up very much which resulted in less energy being used to mine for Bitcoin.  Meaning that people were able to move about within the mines without much discomfort. Many people worked within this particular Bitcoin mine, including dozens of heavily armed guards. However, nobody really ever tried to break into the mine, so the guards weren't ever really paying attention. This made it much easier for the Satoshi's Martyr's job much easier. The Satoshi's Martyrs also had an insider that worked IT in the mine. They were able to obtain a layout of the mine alongside many of the guards who would be on duty's patrol times. 

Late one night, with the help of special operations forces from China and the United States, The Satoshi's Martyrs were able to get breach the first layer of security to the Brazilian Bitcoin Vault. They were able to bypass it because they were able to hack into the system and create profiles for all five members of the Satoshi's Martyrs group. As the members of the group moved through the massive vault/mine. They maneuvered around the facility with the goal to blend in. Even going as far as doing actual mundane work like minor IT stuff. As the day of the heist wore on, they gradually got closer and closer to the center of the building. A Ledger with five million Bitcoin on it laid inside a steel vault.

Now, there wasn't anyway to get to this Ledger as there wasn't a door to open. So the members of Satoshi's Martyrs had to do cut through the steel. It took about ten minutes to get through the wall, but by this time, the group had alerted security. The group grabbed the Ledger, which was connected to a USB port, and then ran to safety. Security guards who had been alerted to the situation started to shoot at the members but missed all of their shots. The Martyrs hid behind objects and made their way back to the way they came in. 

Their exit, however, was blocked by several more security guards and attack dogs. Upon noticing this, the Satoshi's Martyrs ran into a room. Pulled out some C4 and blew a whole in the side of the building. The explosion kept the security guards at bay for a few minutes which gave the heist members time to escape. 

The heist was a success, now the seed phrase would just need to be extracted to access the Bitcoin. The Satoshi's Martyrs were excited that they had actually pulled off the heist. However, their happiness soon ended with special forces group Delta Force showed up and forced the group to hand over the Ledger. Despite this, the Martyrs were told that they would each be given one hundred thousand Bitcoin each for their successful heist. 

The Great Bitcoin Heist was over.
