I remember waking up one day. I take a look at my crypto wallet. The balance takes a while to load. When it loads, I see double the amount I had yesterday. I refresh to app to make sure It isn’t a glitch and sure enough it’s still the same amount. I search for where it came from and turns out my holdings in Terra had 8x’d overnight. It didn’t really surprise me, the token was doubling every day. This is what it was like back in the early days of 2021. The bull year; the year everyone made money regardless of what they invested into.

I swear I remember the dumbest dude I’ve ever met 3x’ing his portfolio in a day - I wasn’t even flabbergasted by it, it was almost expected - he spent it all in the next month. He was left with nothing and had a few more failing trades; he was able to purchase a new car before losing all the money. The cars worth was still worth more than his portfolio at the end of it all which meant he was still in the green. He came out on top after all. This really comes to show how the crypto generation back in 2021 learnt nothing. He made money; it was the equivalent to gambling. No thought; no execution; just luck. That’s what scared me back then, knowing that there were millionaires being made that would spend all their money just like my friend did. I’m no longer friends with the dude, I no longer have a big group of friends. I’ve filtered them down to 2 people. My brother and a friend from highschool. Similar goals and similar processes of thought is how I categorize my friends today. I know that they’d take a bullet for me just like how I’d take one for them.

I remember the exact day the founder started fleeing haha. Everything went down but it still managed to 5x back in late 2022 when I had 4$ in the token. It was chump change I had left there Incase anything happened and it turned into 16$ overnight haha. I thought it would’ve gone up a bit more so I kept it in the token but it only ended up going down and here I am with 1.5$ in Luna as of today.
