During the week, Play Store would have removed several notable applications specializing in crypto news, namely Cointelegraph and News Bitcoin. At the time of publication, Google has offered no reason whatsoever for the removal of several applications related to the catalog of the crypto-sound industry.

Google would not be the only one to trigger a wind of panic after the removal of support dedicated to cryptocurrencies. A few months earlier, Youtube would have deleted several videos related to the crypto-industry for no apparent reason.

This is not the first time that blockchain apps have been reported as inaccessible on the Google Store. Towards the end of December, the platform would have removed the MetaMask application.

Google issued a clear ban on mining apps in 2018. "We don't allow apps that validate cryptocurrency transactions on devices," says developer conditions.
