Marlin Protocol launched a new mechanism "Flowmint" to distribute Marlin token MegaPOND (MPOND) amongst token holders of different blockchains who staked their tokens towards validators which are whitelisted by Marlin Flowmint.
Total supply of MPOND is 10000 and out of which 20% will be distributed in this way over the next two years. To know more about Marlin Protocol tokens, please check this article. Current blockchains supported on Marlin Flowmint are Binance Smart Chain, Cosmos, Fantom, Iris, Matic, NEAR & Polkadot.
Marlin Flowmint smart contract is built on Matic Network. So you will have to configure "Matic Network" on Metamask to interact with it. Here is the detailed article which will help you to configure it.
I am keeping this article limited to Matic Network, for which i created a detailed video about enrolling or binding your already staked Matic tokens to earn MPOND tokens. But there are few points which you need to understand before you bind your Matic Stake.
- Below mentioned video will not guide you to stake your Matic tokens. Its scope is just limited to walkthrough you about all steps which are required to bind your already staked Matic tokens. If you want to know how to stake Matic tokens, please check this video : https://youtu.be/C-2eZqtyUkg
- Matic non-foundational validators are also supported. Please visit https://app.marlin.pro/flowmint/validators and change to MATIC to check all Matic whitelisted validators.
- Once you configure Matic Network on Metamask, You would need to have few Matic tokens on Matic network to handle transaction fees while binding your Matic stake for MPOND tokens. I transferred 200 Matic tokens in this video just for demo. But you just need only few Matic tokens to be on Matic Network.
- Withdrawal of Matic tokens from Matic Plasma Bridge takes 7 days, so be aware. Don't transfer large number or all of your Matic Tokens on Matic Network, until-n-unless you specifically need them.
- If you don't have Matic tokens to transfer on Matic Network. You can reach out Marlin team. Just contact them on their Discord channel and someone from the team will be able to help you with a tiny amount of Matic token on Matic Network. It will help you to bind your Matic stake. - Same Ethereum wallet will work on Matic network as well. You just need flip between the networks.
- If you have ether on Matic network and wants to swap it for Matic tokens. Use https://quickswap.exchange.
