If you're not already familiar, Taiko is an Ethereum-equivalent ZK-rollup, protocol, and dapp platform with low transaction fees. Taiko prides itself on being open-source, permissionless, and decentralized from day one. Taiko has already run several Galxe campaigns earlier this year that could be a precursor to an airdrop (we can only hope), so if you're a testnet airdrop hunter like I am, here's the lowdown on this latest Galxe campaign.

Like Taiko's previous Galxe campaigns, all of the steps are free to do on their testnet, so no actual cryptocurrency is needed for transactions.

Steps 1 & 2: Social Media Tasks

The first two steps involve joining Taiko's Discord, following two of Taiko's X accounts, and liking and retweeting an X post. Easy-peasy!

Steps 3 through 6: Mirror Post Reading and Quiz Time

These next steps will require a little more time on your part, so make sure you have a few minutes for each section before you begin. You'll be asked to read two different Mirror posts from Taiko, then answer two quick quizzes about the content you've read. You'll need to answer both quizzes 100% correctly in order to move forward in the campaign; I recommend keeping the Mirror articles open in another tab so that you can search for the answers if needed.

Step 7: Mint a DotTaiko Domain Name

You'll be asked during step seven to mint your own ".taiko" domain name. Again, this is all done on the Taiko Jolnir testnet, so you'll just need test ETH on said network. If you don't already have ETH on Jolnir from previous testnet tasks, you can claim your free test ETH from your favorite faucet, such as Sepolia Faucet, and then bridge it to Jolnir on the official Taiko testnet bridge. Follow the few quick steps on the Galxe campaign page and you'll have your very own .taiko domain minted on Jolnir.

Step 8: Create a Particle Wallet and Mint and Transfer an NFT

The last official step of this campaign is to create a Particle Wallet, then to mint and transfer an NFT from your Particle Wallet to the wallet you use to connect to Galxe. The interface is very easy to use, and the steps are gasless, so you won't need test ETH for this step.

Bonus Step: Claim the Particle Wallet x Taiko OAT

Particle Wallet is also hosting their own quick campaign for users to snag an OAT for using their wallet with Jolnir. If you've completed the Taiko campaign above, you'll have already done most of the steps needed to claim this OAT with no gas fees.
