Today I am sharing an experience that can serve as a warning to every crypto user. I transferred 1.6 SOL tokens to Solpick, a platform promoting itself as a Solana Faucet — and that was probably a big mistake.
Transaction details:
- Amount: 1.6 SOL
- Receiver Address: 8DpBNfhnWeSenmA5HxvBZft5cKf1tiL5cRHkTBirPsCf
- Network' Solona
- Memo: No requirement (as reported by the platform)
- Status: Confirmed on Solscan
- TxID: see here
The transaction was completely successful — 1.6 SOL arrived in their wallet. But only 0.00001 SOL showed up in my Solpick account.
I have contacted Solpick and reported my issue, but have not received a response yet. I would like to resolve my issue and ask them to complete my deposit.
What could be the possible reasons?:
-
Technical error? It could be that their system was not synced correctly — but that would also be my loss if they don't process my deposit correctly.
-
Fraud? This is a common "soft rug" tactic — the deposit arrives on the platform, but is not added to the user balance.
Now what?
I am making this issue public now — so that more people can be alert. A transaction success on the Blockchain does not mean that the platform processed it correctly.
Last point: If I get a response from Solpick or this matter is resolved I will definitely update, otherwise I will remove the positive review on Trustpilot as well.
