The US Federal Court has weakened the SEC in front of the crypto world by ruling in favour of Grayscale BTC (GBTC) case vs the US SEC.
Winner Grayscale
For a long time, Grayscale has been urging the SEC to allow it to convert its Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) into an ETF, but the SEC flatly refused, which is why the matter went to court. The court has set aside the SEC order by accepting Grayscale's petition.
Loser SEC
Now the SEC will have to review the Grayscale case again. The SEC has already lost to Ripple; the debacle with Grayscale only weakened it further. SEC is under political pressure from crypto supporters and Republican politicians after defeat in court. Under pressure, the agency will also blame Gary Gensler.
Bitcoin Rose Again
Bitcoin has been trading up and down a stable line of $25k–26k for some time now. Grayscale's victory over SEC lifted BTC up more than 4% in an hour. At this time, bitcoin has reached the line of 27k. (There is no further guarantee; the risk is yours at the time of investment.)
