Bitcoin Became America's New Gold
The US Bitcoin reserve is set to get a makeover. Currently, the feds and some state governments HODL Bitcoin, periodically selling it to raise funds (don't know why -honesly). But that's about to change – the government's gonna start treating it like a gold reserve, holding onto it to back the dollar.
Strategy for Dollar Dominance?
It is believed that just as gold reserves have historically maintained the dollar's status as a global currency. With the US boasting the world's largest government Bitcoin reserve (over 212,000 BTC), the plan is to use it to maintain dollar dominance, especially amid de-dollarization calls in the international market.

My Point
Thing is, unlike the El Salvador, this "reserve" wasn't exactly planned – it's seized assets from cybercrimes by the FBI and DoJ. How it'll benefit the US and the dollar is the big question for the cryptoverse. And with states having their own policies, don't expect a unified government stance anytime soon.
