Ever since the popular President of El Salvador made bitcoin the legal tender of his country, politicians around the world have become increasingly obsessed with the cryptocurrency. Everyone is justifying their decision in their own way.

     In the US, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has started converting his salary into BTC and ETH via Coinbase.

Eric Adams says, converting his salary in cryptocurrencies has sent the message that New York City is open for technology.

 Christophe de Beucheller, a Belgian parliamentarian in Europe, has also decided to take his year 2022 parliamentary salary in Bitcoin, he is first European parliamentarian to do so. 

According to Beukeller, he has done this with the aim of making people aware of the social changes that are coming due to cryptocurrencies.
