El Salvador's President Nayib "Bitcoin" Bukele made his annual predictions on bitcoin on January 2, 2022; let's see what was the outcome as the year comes to an end.

• Prediction 1: Bitcoin Will Reach $100k

At present, the price of bitcoin is hovering around $16k, there is no possibility of Bitcoin value soon touching even 20k.

Development: Deficient

• Prediction 2: Two more countries will adopt Bitcoin as legal tender.

     The Central African Republic accepted bitcoin as legal tender, and St. Kitts and Nevis is also preparing to make bitcoin legal tender but has postponed it until next year. Some countries, like Cuba and Brazil, have legalised bitcoin, but it is not legal tender there.

• Prediction 3: Bitcoin will become a major electoral issue in US elections this year.

Bitcoin definitely had an impact on America, but not directly. FTX is definitely becoming a bigger issue.

• Prediction 4: Bitcoin City will commence construction,

It was postponed by Bukele himself; it may be next year.

Development: Pending 

• Prediction 5: Volcano bonds will be oversubscribed.

Volcano bonds were usually launched by Bukele himself; but not oversubscribed,  more bonds are to be released.

Development: Rough 

• Prediction 6: Huge Surprise at the Bitcoin Conference

Bitcoin conference is not one step anymore. SBF was completely shadowed there.
