Bitcoin maximalist Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy has been renamed Strategy—not just renamed, but also rebranded as a Bitcoin enterprise; let's dive into it.
Rebranded for Bitcoin
Michael Saylor informed today that his company MicroStrategy is now rebranded to Strategy, not only with a with a new namebut also a newew logoo (the Bitcoincoin logo)and an orangenge colour, which is also the colourolour of the originalinal BTC logo created by Satoshi Nakamoto. The new website of Strategy is also launched, which offers Strategy software and branded merchandise. The Nasdaqsdaq logo MSTR is, however, still unchanged.
BTC in action for strategy
On the website, the About section informs about Strategy as "the world’s first and largest Bitcoin Treasury Company." It includes the information that bitcoin will be used as digital capital.
My Point
I have no objection to this; Saylor has every right to do with the company what he wants. Shareholders were already aware that Saylor was making MSTR as a BTC treasury, so they should not complain either. Yet the BTC logo, which Saylor is using for strategy, belongs to the cryptoverse; there should be no patent for that logo; the rest is another story.
