FTX wants politicians to refund the donation they received from the exchange under the ex CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. 

Is Donation Returnable?

     A donation means that the donor does not expect anything in return. Although this donation was made with scam money, the demand to return it may be right, 196 US congresspersons are already under pressure to return. But, here the demand is from politicians, which has no special meaning; only promises can be received from them, and no one takes their promises seriously.  

To blame receivers or not to blame?

     Some people want to know the names of those leaders who got donations from SBF. People consider those leaders also guilty of the FTX scam. But some people believe that everyone could not have been aware of the SBF scam in advance, and politicians take donations from everyone, so just taking donations does not make them guilty.
