No Prison in Sentence
Former FTX Chief Engineer Nishad Singh will not face jail time for the FTX scam. Judge Kaplan was very happy with Singh's cooperation; she sentenced him to 3 years of supervised release.
There are so many comments on this by Judge, I don't think I need to rewrite.
Nishad Singh got a worthy Lawyer
Andrew D. Goldstein played well for Nishad Singh. There is no doubt that Nishad Singh got a good lawyer. Only a lawyer can do something when a case gets stuck in court; lawyers only keep the case going on to collect fees from their clients. Nishad Singh was lucky that his lawyer Goldstein got him released.
Is there hope for Gary Wang?
The multibillion dollar FTX scam, which resulted in the collapse of multiple crypto firms and the genocide of bulls by the bears, has led SBF to 25 years of prison. Ryan Salame got 7.5 years, and Caroline Ellison got 2 years, and no prison sentence to Nishad Singh.
Sentence is decreasing in order, and Gary Wang is next in line; who will be sentenced on November 20. Now we have to wait to see if Wang goes to prison or gets lucky like Singh.
