Vote to Delist
Binance has launched the first batch of votes for potential delistings, starting from March 21, 2025. For the first time, eligible users (who hold at least 0.01 BNB in their account) can vote to delist projects with monitoring tags that they believe should be removed from the platform. While Binance has its own strategy for delisting, this new "Vote to Delist" feature allows the community to have a direct say in the process.
Effectiveness
This initiative appears to be a new marketing approach within the market. When a project is at risk of being delisted, its creators may employ strategies to rally support, such as rewarding holders or leveraging large token holders (whales) to prevent delisting. If a token is prone to being dumped, the likelihood of a mass sell-off could increase simultaneously.
First Batch of Delisting is here
Binance's delisting process considers its own terms of standards that of development activity, trading volume, liquidity, and network reliability. It has put these 21 in its first "Vote to Delist" : JASMY, ZEC, FTT, ELF, SNT, STPT, BAL, ARK, GPS, MBL, PROS, CTXC, HARD, BETA, CREAM, FIRO, VIDT, NULS, TROY, ALPACA, and UFT. Now we will know how these projects will attempt to safeguard their tokens from being delisted.
