The former CEO of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried has still managed to be in the news. Sometimes by sharing his wild thoughts and now by listing his million-dollar house for sale. And Microsoft, one of the largest companies in the world has signed a multi-billion dollar deal with OpenAI, a creator of ChatGPT, one of the most advanced Artificial Intelligence tools. This partnership will be a great deal, especially for future research in the AI sector.
1. SBF Listed $3.8M Washington DC House for Sale
You might have known who Sam Bankman-Fried is, this guy does not need an introduction. He is the former CEO of a bankrupted crypto exchange and is currently charged with various charges including money laundering, fraud, and many other. Allegedly, SBF and his colleagues used the customer funds for their personal pleasures and they also bought luxurious real estate using that fund.
The case is ongoing, and in the recent court filings, it is disclosed that the Federal authorities have seized around $700 million worth of assets owned by SBF. The ~$4 million DC house is listed on sale right after the process of seizure, which leads to the discussion that SBF is trying to keep his wealth. I am not completely sure, but SBF might get some taste of how it feels when you lose hard-earned money, although it wasn’t hard-earned!
The house is 4100 square feet and is listed on Realtor.com, Devon Fox from Pearson Smith Reality is working on the sale of this home. I am not sure how people are going to get into this ‘disputed’ asset, but with suitable discounts, people might be interested.

2. Microsoft Signs Multi-billion Dollar Deal with OpenAI
You would have definitely heard about the ChatGPT, it’s been the hottest topic on the internet for almost a month now. ChatGPT is one of the most advanced artificial intelligence tools that gain a tremendous amount of attention it reached 5 million users in just a week of launch. It is developed by the research lab called OpenAI. ChatGPT is a text-based AI, where you ask a question and you get answers, simple as it sounds! Questions can be normal daily stuff, about scientific research areas like quantum computing or anything you can think of.
Microsoft, one of the largest players in the IT sector has extended its partnership with OpenAI, this announcement came from the official statement. OpenAI stated the following about the partnership-
“{deal} Will allow us to continue our independent research and developed AI that is increasingly safe, useful, and powerful, And the company remains a capped profit company and is governed by the OpenAI non-profit.”
With this partnership, OpenAI will have exclusive assess to the Azure computing infrastructure of Microsoft, which is very crucial for the training of AI. This multi-year and multi-billion dollar partnership can really put pace in the AI industry.
