Writing for the Jet NFT Contest (I fumbled the ball)

Writing for the Jet NFT Contest (I fumbled the ball)

By Mr Fixit | Crypto Blogging Tips | 4 Jan 2022

So.. I originally started this post with a misunderstanding about what I was writing about. (I learned about the contest from another post and hadn't seen any of the Publish0x official contest rules or info.

When I Googled Jets Nft I got links that lead to what would appear that the NFL, The New York Jets and Ticketmaster have teamed up to produce a Commemorative NFL JETSNFT

"Jets fans who purchase a ticket to and attend Jets vs. Bucs presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, January 2, 2022 will receive a complimentary Virtual Commemorative Ticket via the Ticketmaster Marketplace".

(I left the above link because search engines love to see outbound links to strong sights with related info)

At the time of this blogs posting the January 2nd NFL game had already happened. Buccaneers-28 Jets-24 (I wasn't sure why Publish0x would want a blog post about a game that was over but I pressed on)

BUT... That's not to be confused with JETCOIN and the JETNFT

Jet has come out with some really cool and one of a kind sports related NFTs & I went to their sight and their NFTs are actually reasonably priced for starting a collection.

Right after I published this blog post I discovered my mistake. (Hey, I'm a 53 year old plumber, who is just now learning about crypto,, Sorry)

Jet Coin and #JETNFTs are an entirely different animal from what the NFL and Ticketmaster were doing.

I scrambled to change my header and update my post. Would my mistake make me ineligible for the contest? Should I have deleted my post and started over? Nonsense! I already had hours of research and writing time involved not to mention the struggle with the blog editing tool. (It kept hiding/losing what I had written every time I switched pages on my phone trying to copy the links)

So what is a NFT?

Basically in a nut shell a NFT (Non Fungible Token)is a virtual collectible card (like old school baseball cards) that you own and can sell or trade on some blockchains. The Commemorative NFT are of your ticket from attending the Game.  But the JETNFTs are one of a kind artwork featuring players from the NFL and other things.

I personally don't own any NFTs but I find them fascinating. I'm curious to see how well they hold their value in the next 10 years and and am excited about the possibility of future NFT creation and where the market might go.

I created this blog as a tool to help future writers grow their blogs but I couldn't ignore a chance at scoring some Eth from Public0x. So make sure you read up a bit About Jet Coin and  JETNFT's and be sure to include any back links for where you got your information from.

Happy Blogging.
