Greetings Friends;

It’s been a while since I last wrote, but that changes with this article... an article about BitcoinIII(BC3); whose goal is to demonstrate, not only in practice but as a simple and clear objective, how it can ensure not only a cryptocurrency’s continued presence in a flexible market but also its longevity. However, in simpler terms, the project emerges as an innovative proposal in the crypto world that involves a reinterpretation of the Bitcoin protocol, maintaining all its consensus rules while replacing its SHA256 algorithm with SHA3-256t, with the goal of mitigating a growing vulnerability faced by smaller networks, specifically attacks using rented hashrate(a problem arising in projects that, due to a lack of resources, resort to this practice, which will inevitably destroy the project. In practice, this issue stems from the ease with which the current market allows for renting computational power from large platforms to attack a vulnerable network).

BitcoinIII’s(BC3) solution "is to force any potential attacker to do something more difficult: namely, to assemble, configure, coordinate, and sustain the necessary computing power on their own, rather than purchasing temporary access to an existing hashrate market... thereby demanding the maximum mental and computational resources from the daring individual"

What is BitcoinIII(BC3), and what is its true Purpose?

Following up on the introduction above and to put it more simply, BitcoinIII(BC3) is a relaunch of the Bitcoin protocol, right? Correct, but what we must keep in mind is that it does not attempt to reinvent Bitcoin, dethrone Bitcoin, or create a new consensus paradigm. Its proposal is modest yet specific: to be a PoW network that isn’t inherently vulnerable to the greatest facilitator of attacks in the modern era “rented hashrate.” Yes, my friends, having a network that’s open to everyone on a fair basis not only ensures greater network security but also fosters a stronger connection between investors and the community.

And what is its Purpose?

Its purpose stems from outrage over the blatant cowardice of hashrate rental markets, which can be used to attack small PoW networks; something that has become trivial. However, I’m not claiming that hashrate rental markets are bad; rather, I’m saying that they can be used in a negative way to harm a simpler, more vulnerable network, effectively killing the project. Thus, an attacker no longer needs to buy, configure, host, and operate physical hardware… they simply need to rent computing power for the desired algorithm and point it at the target chain(Laughs).

 Scope of Purpose:

- Selection of an algorithm without a rental market: SHA3-256t does not have an established rental market. An attacker cannot simply log into a rental platform, rent compatible hashrate, and direct it to BC3.

- Lack of Dedicated Hardware: There are no SHA3-256t-compatible ASICs sitting in data centers waiting to be repurposed. Not even Bitcoin’s SHA-256d ASICs work.

- Intentional mining: Every hash directed at BC3 comes from someone who deliberately chose to mine with a CPU or GPU—not from rented hashrate or hashrate inherited from another network.

Third element? What is that?

There are several ways to explain this, but I’ll explain it in a more didactic and reflective way so that everyone can understand, regardless of their level of knowledge. In practical terms, the third element boils down to:

1ºelement - The original Bitcoin:  the founding idea, digital gold, the promise of decentralization.

2º element—Copies of Bitcoin: that inherit its vulnerabilities(rental market, dominant ASICs).

3º element—BitcoinIII(BC3): doesn't emerge as a negation of Bitcoin, but as an improvement that preserves its essence(consensus rules) while transcending its limitation of rentable PoW.

Thus, the third element is the synthesis that resolves the contradiction between Bitcoin’s ideal(decentralized mining) and the current reality (attacks using rented hashrate). Do you understand, my friends? I’ll leave this topic for you to reflect on.

Conclusion

I was going to mention the power of the number 3 at the end, but I decided to save it for the conclusion because this number permeates the deepest structures of the universe, from the dance of subatomic particles to the architecture of great civilizations. It is not just a number; it's an active principle, a key to understanding reality. In mathematics, it's the first odd number other than 1. But in philosophy, psychology, and art, 3 is much more: it is the number of synthesis, the point of balance between opposing forces, and the catalyst that transforms chaos into order. To understand the power of 3, we need to explore its many manifestations. Such as:

- The Divine Triad: The Principle of Creation...
- The Structure of the Mind: Thesis, Antithesis, and Synthesis...
- Physics and the Universe: Triangles, Three Dimensions, States of Matter...

To wrap up this article on BitcoinIII(BC3), we can say that the project embodies balance; it does not aim to surpass Bitcoin, nor is it a simple copy, but rather an everyday solution for everyone to use, improving and preserving Bitcoin’s essence while transcending the limitations of rentable PoW.

In practical terms:

If the number 3 represents the geometry of stability... the triangle that does not deform, the three dimensions that shape space, and the three states of matter that balance physics... then BC3 is the manifestation of the law of utility in the digital world. Everything that is complete, true, and enduring follows a three-step process. Bitcoin has already taken the first step, the clones have taken the second step, and BC3 has taken the third step...
