There's been a lot of news lately about scam tokens and rug pulls. Particularly SQUID has been in the conversation recently and who would have guessed that a token with no purpose besides showing that you're a... true Squid Game fan? (If you can even call that a purpose) was a total scam.
You know what the funniest thing is? People are still buying it even now. Gambling their money away for that 0.0000000000001% chance of becoming a millionaire. Which sound just like a casino and we all know that casinos don't work by losing money... I can't say that's that surprising seeing as we do have quite a few very stupid individuals within our race, doesn't mean it justifies the price that it hiked to.

The token launched with a promise of a play-to-earn game inspired by the TV hit.
A promise. I swear to god... I don't take people in real life seriously when they promise something but especially not an anonymous group of people that made a coin based on a popular TV show without any actual connection to it or it's cast/directing crew... It's like telling me to buy "this golden potato" while showing me a regular potato, with it being priced 5.000$
So for anyone that got scammed, or is still getting scammed or even plans to continue getting scammed for some unknown reason:
- If it promises something with no proof, you gettin' rugged
- If the name is anything related to pop culture, you gettin' rugged
- If the coin has no actual use, you gettin' rugged
- If the team behind the coin is anonymous, you might not get rugged, but you'll still probably get rugged
Therefore, use your brains people, just a bit of brain power will save you a lot of nerves and frustrations.
This felt like I was taking out my frustrations despite never being on the receiving end of a rug pull... weird.
