The Birth of the Internet: A Technological Revolution

The history of the Internet begins in the 1960s, with research conducted by scientists and military researchers in the United States. The ARPANET project, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, was the first to establish a decentralized communication network. In 1969, the first message was transmitted via ARPANET between two American universities: UCLA and Stanford. The message, meant to be "LOGIN," was not fully transmitted due to a system failure, but it marked the beginning of a new era.

Over the years, the network expanded, and protocols were created to make it more accessible. In 1989, Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, making it easier to access information online. This transformed the Internet into an interactive and widely used tool.

Today, the Internet has become an essential part of daily life, impacting all areas from education to healthcare, commerce, and communication. This evolution has radically changed the way we interact with the world and paved the way for an unprecedented globalization.
