Is it necessary or not to improve the miner's level?
I think many of you went to the Merge manners section and saw that improving the miner's level is a profitable thing, significantly increases power and gives more% bonuses.
But is it profitable?
If you are a beginner, then no!
Why? Let's do the math.
In the initial stages, you will mostly come across simple manners and a lot of the same ones. Of course, there is a temptation to improve them and speed up your earnings. But be careful, there is a nuance here.
Let's look at this example.

We can upgrade the miner to 41,370 Th/s and still get a 0.2% bonus. And crafting won't cost much.
41 370 Th/s + 0.2% = 41 452,74 Th/s WOW!!!
It sounds tempting. But let's count.
For crafting, you need 300 gray parts (let's say you got them in the event) and 0.03 RLT for crafting 6 green parts. Well, 0.2 RLT for crafting the miner itself.
0.03 CT + 0.2 RLT = 0.23RLT.
Very cheap.
But what if we create 6 green parts instead and sell them for 0.5033 RLT?
We subtract from this amount the crafting price for green parts:
0.5033 RLT - 0.03 RLT = 0.47337 RLT.
You can use them to buy one of these miners. And you will get 2 times more power!

Why do we need crafting?
Sooner or later you will come across the fact that you will fill the whole room with miners. And it will be tedious for you to carefully consider which miner to leave and which one can replace. Then it is beneficial to improve the level of miners so that without the cost of buying a new room, you can continue to increase the total capacity and increase your profit.
