The recent news that the United States will open the first nuclear reactor on which bitcoin will be mined surprised me.
After all, not so long ago, many "green" organizations destroyed bitcoin for its non-ecological nature. And Ethereum changed the algorithm from PoW to PoS, including to make the crypt more environmentally friendly.
Of course, this is an important event that will take mining to a new level. A powerful nuclear reactor will provide cheap coin mining.
But in my opinion, this is hypocrisy. In Europe, many do not use or close nuclear power plants, because of their danger. In light of today's energy crisis, Europe was in no hurry to launch nuclear power plants.
And then bitcoin will be mined at a nuclear power plant.
It sounds like a double standard to me.
