⚖️Crime for Bitcoins ⚖️

By Lazy Bear | Crypto and world | 3 Nov 2024

The wave of kidnappings with the desire to take away bitcoin began in 2017. Moreover, Russia was not far behind. Or, for example, in Ukraine in 2017, four cases of kidnapping with a ransom demand in bitcoins were recorded.

The initial fraud schemes were related to the cashing out of the first cryptocurrency. Wanting to circumvent taxes, people met live and exchanged BTC for cash. Further, those who received cash were waited for by groups of people who fraudulently or forcibly took the money.

The next wave occurred in 2021, when people were kidnapped and their cryptocurrencies were taken away.
In 2021, in Moscow and Kaliningrad. In 2022 in Moscow and in 2023 in Omsk, these are the most high-profile cases involving the abduction or attempted abduction of the owners of the first cryptocurrency.

More bloody crimes are also known in world practice. For example, in 2017, a 22-year-old cryptomillionaire was killed by friends. They wanted to steal the cryptocurrency, but it didn't work out.

There are also cases when there was an attempt to hire a killer for crypto gold.

The purpose of this article is not to defame Bitcoin. Criminals do not stand still and adapt very flexibly to modern realities. That's who you need to learn flexibility from.
