Hello Moon Kart racers! Let's have another "build a racing set-up" post. This time, let's build one using rare cards. For reference, here are my previous posts on the subject.

Today, let's build a racing set up made up of rare cards. Common and rare cards offer low cost and have the most availability in the market unlike epic and legendary cards. Remember that we only consider NFTs that are sold in the in-game market.

Kart: LunocityX $1.30

The LunocityX is the second cheapest kart after the Astro Kart but it offers far better stats than its common kart counterpart. At level one, the LunocityX has decent stats of 113.3 speed, 45.5 health and 51.8 acceleration and handling.

Driver: Hammer $0.50

Hammer is not the cheapest rare driver in the market but I chose him because of his balanced stats and decent handling. Hammer offers speed of 15.3, handling of 12.1, health of 32.2 and acceleration of 0.7.

The other drivers are not that far behind in price. I've listed down below in case you may want other drivers like Vortex who has the most speed or Surge with his high acceleration stats. The choice of drivers depends on your racing style.

Blaze $0.44 Surge $0.44 Vortex $0.49 image.png image.png image.png Accessories $1.31 Swift Fin $0.40 Smooth Pulse $0.40 Grip Ease $0.51 image.png image.png image.png

Accessories cost a total of $1.31 which is still very cheap. You can pinch pennies and still find cheaper deals in the market for the same stats. Swift Fin provides additional handling of 1.3, Smooth Pulse adds speed of 7.9 and Grip Ease with acceleration of 5.3.

Tech Cards $1.11 Tire Tread $0.68 Engine Tune-Up $0.43 image.png image.png

The LunocityX has only two tech slots opened at level one. The tech cards provide more boosts in stats instead of one like the accessories provide. The Tire Tread boosts three stats: speed by 10.9, acceleration by 2.1 and handling by 31.5 while the Engine Tune-Up provides two additional stats: speed of 56.1 and acceleration of 2.6. The total cost of both is $1.11.

Power Ups

Power Ups are weapons and defense that you can equip on your kart to disable other racer's karts. One power up can defend against such attacks for a limited time. I did not include Power Ups in my build but you can do so if you so choose. Power Ups are all common cards but costs a lot. A kart can equip a maximum of five power ups but the level one LunocityX only has room for two slots. Power up costs range from $3 to $5.

Lunar Glide Lunar Bolt Cosmic Disruptor Lunar Barrier Celestial Thrust image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png Overall Kart Stats and Cost $4.22

This set up is very cheap at a little over $4 total cost. It will have speed of 203, health of 78, handling of 97 and acceleration of 62. Not the best stats, I would admit but if you are conscious about the cost and just want to play then this is a set-up you can consider. It offers decent performance but will not break the bank. The cards in this post are available in the in-game market at the time of this writing. If you want to try your luck on packs then you can buy them from hive-engine.
