Three Crypto and DLT Projects that Really Matter

Three Crypto and DLT Projects that Really Matter

There’s a lot of noise and irrelevant stuff going on if you tune into Crypto Twitter. To get a better idea about what’s actually going on in this promising space, I recommend checking out Ledger Insights, because they have a few good pieces on there from time to time.

Did you know that just yesterday, SIX, the company that owns the Swiss stock exchange, revealed it had placed a strategic investment into Omniex, a firm that offers a crypto exchange and investment solution.

But why does this even matter? You might be thinking there are a lot of major players like Bakkt and Fidelity getting involved with crypto, big deal. But this particular partnership will see Omniex offer SIX and its own digital currency exchange a gateway or bridge to other virtual exchanges and potentially large over the counter market makers. This is the best thing about this deal, because when you have access to big time OTC market makers, you can grow your business a lot faster. That’s because you have access to what matters the most when you are running any type of exchange, whether it’s crypto or fiat-based. That magic thing is LIQUIDITY.

Moreover, this platform will be regulated and no matter what crypto anarchists tell you, we need regulations to protect us from thieves and other criminals.

Moving on. A few months back, Oracle, yes Oracle, handpicked 20 promising startups for Chainlink’s awesome blockchain initiative. If you’ve been living under a rock, then you might not know what Chainlink is about. Heard of those crazy hacks taking place on decentralized finance platforms like the costly exploit on bZx.

Chainlink is developing technology that will enable secure communication between smart contracts, which is badly needed because there have been so many bugs or glitches found in them that it has led to losses worth millions if not billions. Chainlink, I think, is a golden project.

Many people are still sleeping on this project/company, called Corda. Several months back, giant consulting firm Accenture and SAP announced their intentions to use the Corda platform to handle reserve bank real-time gross settlements.

This technology is not hype, it’s really not. Read, read, research, research, and stay away from drama.
