I've been playing play2earn games as part of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy. The game I'm enjoying the most is Rising Star. Its a music/band based card trading game - where you collect cards (band members, instruments, etc) and do missions (gigs, music lessons, festivals, etc). The game is built on the Hive blockchain. You can start playing without any investment, and start earning straight away. I'm currently earning around $35/month (and growing). You can start earning without investing, and to date, I have only re-invested what I've earnt to achieve these levels of gains, and have been playing for around 3 months now.

Rising Star is straight forward. You have an allocation of energy, and can use that to do missions, eg, playing a gig. You get rewarded in Starbits, the in-game currency, which you can use to buy cards on the market to upgrade your stats - to do better missions and earn more. There are also a number of other features for more advanced players which I've yet to properly explore. However, its a great game and does not demand constant attention - ie, you can start a 5 hour mission, and forget about it.
I've been re-investing earnings in the card market, to improve my ability to do better mission. In the last week, I've bought the following cards:

I keep a track on what I buy as I'm keen to understand the card market better so that I'm buying cards at a good value. The key stat is fans, as that is what helps you to gain more starbits from mission. Interestingly enough, there has been quite a change in the card market in the last 2-3 weeks. Things like instruments have gone up in price - I could get the noted guitars at around 750 each, and they have hit the 1,000 to 1,100 range. I could also get a rare card (those with a number starting with R) for around 5,000 startbits, and that has now increased to 6,000+. Its great if you are actively investing and re-selling, but I'm not quite there yet, I'm still investing to grow, so this is a bit of a pain, although on an average day I'm earning enough to buy a rare card (around 5,000-6,000 starbits a day).
In addition, you can pick up free cards and starbits via giveaways on Hive blog. So thats worth checking out if you are new to the game and want to get a helping hand to progress. I managed to land a great one the other day and got about 12,000 starbits gifted to me from one giveaway ! The giveaways are easy to enter - you usually just have to leave a basic comment with your in game name - thats it ! And there is a whole community category within Hive blog just dedicated to the game which has many daily giveaways.

Anyway, if play2earn games is your thing, then I'd highly recommend Rising Star. It has great earning potential. As said, I'm at around $35/month, and can see that I should be able to get to $100/month - however, I really enjoy the game - I'd play it anyway, even if I wasnt earning from it - so thats just a bonus !
Also, the other thing is that Rising Star is what introduced me to the Hive Blockchain in general - I had to join Hive to play the game, and I have to say its been great. Hive has got so much opportunity to earn, through all kinds of means - games, blogs, NFTs, videos, investing/staking, etc. I'm still very much a noob to it, and I'm probably getting close to $200/month from it - so its well worth checking out (see the links below). Plus it has a great community around it - which is the best part for me.
Anyway, I hope this helps - happy to take comments and help with questions where I can !
