As part of my crypto accumulation strategy, I've been playing the game Rising Star on the Hive Blockchain.  Rising Star is a music/bands themed card game - and can be played for free, without investment to earn crypto.  

Since starting, I had been trying to save up 10,000 Starbits (~$2.20 at the time of writing) to buy my first card pack, which I finally managed last week.  It was quite a long slog to save up (2 to 3 weeks), but was worth it.  I bought the pack and got the following three cards:

These 3 cards immediately bumped up my game stats, and made tackling missions to earn more starbits a bit easier, so from my perspective, it was worth it.  Of the 3 cards I got, the one on the left (DAN R120) is by far the best, the other two are a bit mediocre.  Also, when looking on the marketplace in-game, it would appear that I got roughly 10,000 starbits worth of cards - so I guess I cant complain.

Anyway, this bumped my average daily earnings up to around 1,000 starbits (~$0.22/day, $1.54/week, $6.60/month) - which is not too bad for a game that takes very little effort and that I really enjoy playing. 

So for the short term, I'm going to save up to reinvest and in more card packs and see if I can up my stats further, and hence my earning potential - will provide a further update in a few more weeks on how its going.
