One of the key parts of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy is to find free sources of crypto, that I can then stake/invest as needed. One of the methods I've been using is the crypto focused social media site Torum.
As can be seen above, Torum has quite a standard social media looking layout, and features. With its crypto focus, the majority of posts are about crypto (gaming, trading, markets, etc, etc). You get rewarded on Torum for creating content (posts) and for interacting (eg, likes and gaining followers). There are also other ways to gain (eg, referrals).
When I first started using Torum, I didnt give it that much thought, and never put much effort into it, until I looked at how much I had gained in the first month of using it ($13.29) - and was quite surprised, considering I had not put much effort into it. From there on, I started taking it more seriously. To earn crypto, you basically get a number of missions to undertake - daily, weekly and special.
Daily missions on Torum dont take long at all (seconds each really) - but dont reward a huge amount, noting the current price of XTM is around ~$0.3, so for example, the creating a post mission above would give you around $0.17 - which thinking about it isnt too bad I guess for something that can take you say 10 seconds. And bear in mind, its social media, so when you post something, its just a simple quick post, it does not have to be a full blog. For example it could simply be a link to one of your blogs here on PublishOx, and hence could in turn generate you more income back here.
Weekly missions on Torum take a little longer but reward more. The bottom one (Interact with the platform for 7 days straight) is really easy. Just log in for 7 days in a row, and you can collect 5 XTM at the end ($1.50). The followers one may seem hard, but there are clans (equivalent of groups on facebook), which are set up to allow people to gain follows for follows, so its not that hard to hit each week.
There are also special missions, eg, gain 500 followers - which take longer, but by doing your dailies and weeklies, you soon hit those as they come up.
So I'm finding I can get through missions fairly quickly each day, and I'm picking up around $20 a month at the moment. At the same time the site is useful - you can join a clan (group) for a specific interest group, which you may have, eg, play2earn games, and pick up tips and links for that which is handy. However, there are a lot of people on Torum who just post any old rubbish to get their rewards (eg, a post that will just say hello) - so you do have to wade through some of that to get to the useful info.
Torum is traded on a number of exchanges as per above, which is quite handy. I've not withdrawn any yet, as I'm working towards another mission of having 500 XTM (now over 100 after 2 months), and then I will withdraw some to KuCoin where I already have an active account - when the price is right.
Above is a graph of the XTM price (credit:CoinMarketCap @9.40 GMT on 10/02/22) over the last year. It is currently trading at around $0.3, but has been as high as about $2.34, but even at $0.3 I think its worth doing. If it even doubled to $0.60 I'd be pretty happy - but who knows what the future will bring.
The site has other features related to NFTs, airdrops and the like, that I havent yet explored - and also has other aspects in development. It is well used, although many are doing bare min to pick up XTM. When I post, I do try to atleast post something useful and relevant.
In Summary:
- Torum can be used fairly easily to accumulate free crypto,
- Its a fairly straight forward social media site, which does not sap up huge amounts of time (unless you want to spend more time using it),
- XTM, its native coin, can be traded on a number of exchanges, and has a current value of ~$0.30,
- It seems to work well enough for me, that I use it daily as part of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy,
