One of the legs of my low cost crypto accumulation strategy is to find means of generating fiat or crypto online for free that can then be invested.  One of the methods I've recently tested is an android phone app called crypto sense which can be found in the play store.   I thought I'd give it a trial and then write up the results here for anyone that is interested.

The app is really simple, and offers you a choice of three 'mini games' that you can play in order to earn a small amount of the app's SENSE points.  To play each game you have to watch a video, and the app author is open an honest about that being the source of the funding that allows the app to make payments for playing the games - I quite like that honesty ! So its the viewing of the video that earns you some SENSE, and not really the playing of the mini games.

The three available games are:

 - flip sense - where you need to match some cards

 - sliding sense - a tile puzzle

- lucky sense - which is basically a slot machine

All three are fairly short to play.  When I first download the app a few weeks ago I found it incredibly boring, and soon stopped using it before I had earned enough to make a crypto withdrawal.  However, I picked it back up to try it and tried to think of a way to make it less boring, and I've found that I can easily use the lucky sense slot machine game, and do other things at the same time.

To use that feature it takes about 4 clicks in total to makes some SENSE points after you have selected the game:

 - 1 to start the video

 - 1-2 to stop the video at the end depending on the video type 

 - and then a final click to make the slot machine work

It then tumbles the three slot machine thingys and tell you how much you won - you can then immediately go back to the first step, and start another video - so its quite easy to do on rotation.  I've found I can easily do that while watching TV as it takes zero thought, or while playing another game on my desktop PC - especially if that has time breaks in it.  I found it works well while using Rollercoin (which is another play-to-earn game) - as it has annoying gaps in-between earning activities, that you can easily balance out by doing the clicks on crypto sense.

To get a payout you have to collect a minimum of 1,000 SENSE points, noting that each game may give around 50 points, so need to play around 20 games.  I was watching TV for about an hour or two (gold rush if you must know !), and sat clicking away on the app quite easily at the same time.  That gave me 3525 SENSE, which it allowed me to convert into 0.00000092 BTC (~$0.05 - not much !).   [sorry, but I didnt get the actual screen shot before making that withdrawal - I messed it up, but the one below was taken a few mins before, and I then played a few more slots to up the SENSE points a little]. 

Now that part that I do really like about the app is that it is really easy to withdraw if you have a Coinbase account.  You just tell the app your coinbase email (the email address you have used to register your coinbase account with) and when you click the trade button, it sends that straight to Coinbase.  I've tried it a few times now, and it worked for me each time with the the BTC appearing immediately in my Coinbase account which I was really impressed with. 

In Summary:

 - The app works, and the withdrawals are very quick, straight into Coinbase which I like,

 - The game play is boring, but if you combine it with something else it can work, 

 - The payouts are very low - but what do you expect for free,

 - This method certainly wont make you rich, but when first starting out it could be used to give a kick start to beginning to pull together some funds especially if you are in the position where you simply dont have fiat to invest. 

 - I doubt I'll use it often, but I thought it worth trying, and I can honestly say it was no problem doing it while watching Gold Rush !
