Hello, Moonbats! I bring you good tidings and fresh virtual meat from obscurity in the Pacific Northwest!

I'm sure you've noticed by now that the majority of the crypto related content on this site is severely lacking in details. I have seen probably two dozen posts that purport to be a beginner's guide with allegedly step by step instructions that are so vague as to be worthless. Many such posts may as well have been written by underpants gnomes, if you catch that reference.

Hey, I get it, even the folks who have been gambling on - excuse me, "investing in" - crypto for a decade are short on details and often confused about the actual function of the networks in which they are investing. They don't know how it works, but they got lucky getting in the market at the right time and now consider themselves to be experts. Good for them. They can push off from here, put on their virtual reality headset and swim in a digital vault of crypto coins in their Scrooge McDuck fantasies. Yeah, we might envy their success, but no malice intended.

I won't pretend to be an expert or a crypto billionaire. I'm here to post honest and informative, hopefully also entertaining, original content. If you have read any of my previous posts on Publish0x, you know that I make a sincere effort to be thorough with the details. I take time to make certain my information is correct and spell checked. I'm not trying to write a book here, so, please, don't expect every possibility to be covered in depth. I may be verbose but that's because I feel the need to explain things, especially when I am trying to give a leg up to the noobs. And, that's exactly what I am doing here.

Yes, I am still new to the crypto market. However, I have invested a significant amount of time on research to find legit faucets and sources of free crypto tokens. I am not going to cover every available faucet or source of free crypto, just what I have experience with and can verify.

Before I get into the details, there are a few caveats and disclaimers to get out of the way.

THIS IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE as I am not a financial advisor. This is more like life advice from a rouge freelance life coach, and you can place whatever value on that facetious statement as you please. I am not giving recommendations on where to invest or what crypto tokens you should purchase. Those decisions are left to your own discretion. If I mention any specific project or tokens, this is not to be construed as an endorsement or financial advice. Any such mention is strictly for purposes of illustration of my own personal preference, habits, experience and results, or is otherwise necessary for the purposes of the following guide to getting started for free. Conduct your due diligence (DD) and do your research (DYR) for yourself before making those decisions.

THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. You are not going to become a crypto billionaire overnight no matter how closely you follow these instructions. These are instructions for beginning with nothing to build up your stack slowly over time. If you don't have the patience for this and demand a promise of rapid results, there are thousands of scam sites ready to promise you the moon and pull the rug out from under you while your head is in the clouds dreaming of all that fictitiously delicious moon cheese.

Also, if you can't tell from the title and what I've said already, let me be perfectly clear; this is for those who want to begin building up their stack from nothing. This is starting from scratch at square one with ZERO dollars. If you are already a seasoned professional level crypto investor, this is not for you unless you want to contribute some positive feedback in the comments. If you are not a confused noob and don't have anything useful to contribute to the conversation, move along and get back to posting your own overly vague shitcoin hype or whatever it is that you do on this site. Thanks, anyway.

This is strictly for the confused noob as the title says. I am attempting to cut through the hype and avoid wasting time on scams. This is about beginning with nothing and making progress towards a long term goal, whatever your crypto goals may be. If you are a confused noob and don't know where or how to begin stacking up tokens, this is for you. I share my own experience and knowledge freely with no expectations of rewards, though I would appreciate it if you do use the referral links in this post. A big "THANK YOU!!" in advance to everyone who follows through with the referral links. (Yes, the links are primarily for Android users. If you use an iPhone, you can still benefit from these instructions.)

I never intended to write a beginner's guide to crypto, but I decided to post this blog as a way to save myself time rather than having to explain these things to my friends individually.

"Blah, blah, blah... When does the guidance begin?" Right? In due time, moonbats. There is an order to this and first things come first.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's begin with the wallet. You need a wallet to hold your "coins". For the noobs, you are going to want to begin with the basic and that's Coinbase. Yes, I know, Coinbase is technically an exchange, but it contains custodial wallets within it. Coinbase may not be the best crypto wallet option available, but it's a good place for a noob to get started.

STEP 1: GET A WALLET

Use this link to download and set up your free Coinbase wallet:

coinbase.com/join/tuomal_f0?src=android-link

If you have $100 or more to invest, Coinbase will reward you with $10 in Bitcoin for your first $100 crypto purchase.

Yes, this is a guide to FREE Crypto, no purchase necessary. No joke, bro, a $10 Bitcoin bonus is still free crypto. Boom! You're instantly up 10% on your first investment.

However, even if you don't have a penny to invest, you can get rewarded with free crypto from your new Coinbase wallet.

STEP 2: CLAIM FREE CRYPTO TOKENS

If you either scroll down from the home screen or click on the menu bar in the upper left corner, you can find opportunities for free crypto under the "Learn And Earn" or "Rewards" section.

For watching a series of short animated clips and correctly answering the end quiz you will be rewarded with free tokens from several different crypto networks. The actual amount of tokens received will vary depending on the current market price for each token.

Here's what you can get FOR FREE:

(in alphabetical order, not necessarily the order in which they will be offered to you)

$3 Amp (AMP)
$3 Ampleforth (FORTH)
$3 Balancer (BAL)
$3 BarnBridge (BOND)
$5 Bitcoin (BTC)
$6 Celo (CGLD)
$3 Clover Finance (CLV)
$9 Compound (COMP)
$3 Fetch.ai (FET)
$4 The Graph (GRT)
$3 NuCypher (NU)
$3 Rally (RLY)
$3 SKALE (SKL)
$10 Stellar Lumens (XLM)

That's $61 in FREE Crypto! No purchase necessary. You won't be able to get all of these on day one, you will have to check in on a regular basis to find when each one is available for you. Keep checking back as additional free tokens will become available for the taking.

If you don't like these crypto networks for whatever reason, you can easily swap them for something else for which you feel more enthusiastic and optimistic. Or you can immediately sell the tokens and cash out. It's up to you to decide what to do with these tokens once you receive them.

As an additional bonus, you can share your own referral link with your circle of trust to earn another $10 in Bitcoin each time one of your referrals purchases $100 or more of any of the available Coinbase listed tokens.

If you are hyped for a token not listed on Coinbase, you can transfer some of these free crypto tokens to a different wallet which supports your desired token and swap them there. Be aware that "gas" and network fees do apply to most transfers.

STEP 3: STAKE SOME TOKENS

If you want to stick with Coinbase and continue to stack up free crypto, you can swap these free tokens for some of the tokens for which Coinbase provides staking and earn a modest percentage return.

Staking is available for:

Ethereum (ETH) may be staked to ETH2 at 5% APR (Annual Percentage Rate). To stake Ethereum, either purchase ETH or swap your free tokens for some ETH. Then, click on the box under the Trade button where it reads "Stake to earn up to 5% APR". Then, click the "I understand" button, or the "Learn More" button if you don't understand. I'm going to assume you understand that staking tokens means this will lock up your holdings of ETH until ETH2 has fully launched, which is expected to happen sometime between 2022 and 2024. Again, I am not recommending this, I am simply explaining how to do it. Later I will tell you how to get some free ETH fractional shares known as GWEI which you can use to repeat this process and slowly increase your stack of staked ETH2 a few cents at a time.

Cosmos (ATOM) may be staked for 5% APY (Annual Percentage Yield).

Tezos (XTZ) may be staked for 4.63% APY.

Algorand (ALGO) may be staked for 4% APY.

Dai (DAI) may be staked for 2% APY.

USD Coin (USDC) may be staked for 0.15% APY.

ETH2 staking is done through the Ethereum wallet as stated above. To get staking rewards for any of these other tokens, you have to manually turn on the staking option. To do this, click on the Settings button, then, click on "Financial Services" and turn on whatever is appropriate for your holdings.

Alright, alright, alright! Now that we have your basic Coinbase wallet set up, you've collected some free tokens and even staked something for additional rewards, we can play some games. Yes, literally.

STEP 4: PLAY SOME GAMES

Vweeter Limited is a mobile game company that will reward you with small amounts of crypto for playing simple games. They only pay out to Coinbase, so be certain to complete steps 1 and 2 before you continue.

Also, before you begin with the game play, you must sign in on the app with your Coinbase wallet associated email address. To do this, click on the menu bar in the upper left corner and select "Wallet". Enter your email address and click on "Update Account Info". Now you're ready to get paid to play the game.

They have a few options to choose from. You can earn fractional tokens of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Stellar Lumens. Each game allows you to claim your tokens once every 72 hours. There are no fees for claiming your tokens, neither "gas fees" nor "network fees" will be charged to you. All it costs you is a little bit of your time.

How can a game company afford to give you free crypto tokens for playing free games? By inserting ads between levels, of course. However, there are a few tricks for powering through without having to watch each ad in full.

Some of the ads are immediately closeable as just a single image, but others are a 30 second video often with an additional 5 second appeal attached to the end of the video. Some of these can be closed in as little as 5 seconds, if they display a timer. For these look at the upper corners, usually on the right, for an arrow to appear and click on it to escape from the ad. Some have a progress bar at the bottom and these can often be skipped by clicking on the Back button on your phone. Others can be skipped by clicking on the ad which opens the Play Store or Apple App Store which you can immediately close and return to the game. Some ads will just have to be endured.

First up we have a word puzzle game that pays out in Satoshi, which if you don't already know is a fractional denomination of Bitcoin. One Satoshi equals one billionth of a Bitcoin. Oof! Yeah, I told you this is not about getting rich quick. You can't expect to begin with zero dollars and cash out a full Bitcoin in a few minutes. Let's be realistic. Yes, there are games that pay more but they require an initial investment of fiat currency and have a steeper learning curve.

https://cryptowords.herokuapp.com/referral.php?r=QeDfld24bye5ddBjgUaYMm3zgFB2

This a good game for school kids or non-native English speaking folks to work on their vocabulary and collect some Satoshi. The grid is filled with letters which you connect in any direction to spell words. The more complex the word is the more points it's worth. Pretty simple, bro.

There is a limit of 200 Satoshi per claim. So, play until you reach the limit and claim as quickly as you can. Again, you can only claim once every 3 days (72 hours to be exact).

Currently, at the time of writing, 200 Satoshi is worth about 10¢ ($0.10). I know, that's not much, but in one year and one day that adds up to $12.20 in free Bitcoin. If the bulls are correct about Bitcoin reaching $100k by years end, that could be as much as $25. That's a big if, but, hey who isn't dreaming of a slice of that delicious moon cheese now and then? Anyway, it's a good start for a few minutes of amusement and perhaps education.

It's worth noting that the vocabulary of the game is a bit odd as it it doesn't recognize some English words, especially place names such as "Texas" or even days of the week like "Tuesday."  However, it does recognize several non-English words from Hebrew, Maori, and a few other languages. Play around with it and you may be surprised by what works and what doesn't. Have yourself a good laugh and get those Satoshi.

Next up is a block puzzle game that pays out in GWEI which is a fractional denomination of Ethereum. The blocks are designed to look like coins for some of the major crypto tokens. Click on a grouping to clear them off the grid. The more are connected the higher the points received. There are bonus points for leaving less than 10 coins on the grid with a maximum of 2,000 bonus points for clearing all the "coins".

https://cryptopop.herokuapp.com/referral.php?r=Z89BzgGv0xZ9W6ttZk7vMckurRB3

Again, you can claim your GWEI once every 3 days. The maximum amount of each claim is  35,000 GWEI. Play to the maximum or claim whatever you can every 72 hours. How often you play and claim is up to you.

Next up is a poker grid game that pays out in Photon which is a fractional denomination of Litecoin. You can match up the cards both side to side and top to bottom to score points and play against the AI which is playing with the same cards in the same order. You can earn points according to the strength of each poker hand across the grid ten different ways. Choose your strategy and try to get a flush or as many of a kind. The maximum claim amount is 50,000 Photon. Again, you can claim it every 3 days.

https://poker25.herokuapp.com/referral.php?r=moHtUwtWXTeqiaYcsMkbykKrsRt1

Now, here is where it gets really interesting as I have a super secret "hack" for this game. Hopefully, the company doesn't discover and repair this flaw. I hope they don't read this, because this is a great way to stack up free Photon quite quickly without having to watch thousands of ads. In fact, you can claim your Photon by only watching 2 ads in this game. Yes, really!

Here's how it's done. At the end of each round, the game will give you three options: "SHOW AI", "DISMISS", or "NEW GAME". Clicking on any of the 3 options will activate an ad. To avoid watching the ads, close the game. Then, open the game and start again. When you are ready to claim your Photon, play another round and click on "Dismiss". Watch the ad, skip through it if you can, then, click on the menu bar in the upper left corner and select "Wallet". Watch one more ad, then, scroll down to the claim button. Boom! You just got some Litecoin for watching only 2 ads! Not bad, eh, moonbats?

Next up is another block puzzle game that pays out in Stroop which is a fractional denomination of Stellar Lumens. Unless you are really hyped for Stellar Lumens, this game is not going to be worth your time as the current value of XLM is so low. However, if you are a true believer and want to add to your stack of $10 in free XLM that you got for free from Coinbase, have at it. I'm supplying the link just for you!

https://popstellar.herokuapp.com/referral.php?r=qXxMyd1s7eQxyAv6ixwjaVxLED93

As with Coinbase and the other links in this post, you can earn an additional bonus for sharing your own referral links for these games. The referral links can be found under the wallet section of the game.

Remember to sign in to the app before playing or you won't get your tokens.

STEP 5: BE BRAVE AND GET PAID ATTENTION

If you are not already using the Brave browser, go downloaded it now. Brave browser no longer has a referral program, so I am not including a link. Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install Brave browser. Brave browser will pay you a small amount of Basic Attention Token for viewing ads in the browser. You have to connect your wallet to claim the tokens.

STEP 6: BE BRAVE AND TURN ON THE FAUCETS, THEN, PLAY MORE GAMES

[DISCLOSURE: I have not yet claimed my tokens from these next two links. However, according to Trust Pilot and seemingly thousands of other authors here on Publish0x, these are legit faucets.]

This next link is both a token faucet and a gaming site. Before you continue to the link, it's very important for you to be using the Brave browser as there is doubling bonus for accessing the site with the Brave browser for the first 30 days. Open the link in Brave, sign up and get 2X as much free crypto tokens every day.

This site, Pipeflair, will allow you to claim Z-Cash (ZEC), Doge Coin (DOGE), and their native token, Flair (FLR) once per day for free. Flair is not currently tradeable on any exchange, but once you have built up a stack of 500 FLR, you can stake it on the site to earn more while we wait for it to get listed and exchangeable.

https://pipeflare.io/r/bin7

You can earn additional Flair tokens for playing games on the site. If you wish to increase the amount of tokens received from this faucet, you can become a supporter. However, this is about what you can get for free and paying for membership is not necessary to access the faucet or play the games.

This next link is a faucet site and crypto gambling that will give you free Satoshi every hour as long as you log in and complete the Captcha. This will give you a random chance to win as much as $200 in free Bitcoin every hour. The minimum winning is 4 Satoshi. Of course, Bitcoin gas and network fees are astronomical, so you want to build up a large stack before you try to claim it to your wallet.

https://freebitco.in/?r=46986421

If you are not satisfied with the slow and steady accumulation of tokens, this site will also allow you to gamble your free tokens for the chance to win a lot more. If you are a gambler, and a lot of crypto enthusiasts are, you can press your luck. You might lose it all, but it's possible that you could win big. I leave the decision up to you and your personal level of risk tolerance.

STEP 7: MAKE UP YOUR MINDS

Another source of free crypto tokens is the social media platform Minds. Your activity is rewarded with Minds tokens which are Ethereum based and exchangeable for ETH.

https://www.minds.com/register?referrer=marvinscottmarvin

You can earn Minds tokens for posting original content, news article links, YouTube videos, or reposting borrowed memes. You have a lot of options as it doesn't have to be your original content. I prefer to post original writing, photos and memes as those are some of my many creative outlets.

However, you can begin with zero content and still consistently earn tokens by liking, commenting on, or "reminding" others' posts. Reminds are similar to retweets. You can add your own comments to the remind by using the "Quote" option. This also allows you to earn additional tokens when someone gives your remind an up vote or comment. If you simply remind a post without using the quote option, your subscribers can see it on the main feed but you won't earn anything if they like or comment on the post.

You can add up to five hashtags per post which will help others to discover your content. Be sure to keep your hashtags relevant to the content so you don't get a reputation as a spammer. You can select from the popular hashtags or create original hashtags for your original content. I have added a few of my original hashtags that are now recognized by the Minds platform. If you post hashtags in the visable text of the post and you later want to edit the post, you will have to delete those hashtags under the settings or they will be double counted against the limit.

You can use the Minds token to boost your posts to get more up votes, reminds and subscribers. You can also use Minds tokens to tip the content creators you enjoy and appreciate. You can also receive tips for your own posts.

To cash out your Minds tokens, you will have to connect a crypto wallet and pay the resulting gas and network fees when you exchange for ETH and transfer to your wallet. Due to high Ethereum gas fees, I recommend you build up a good size stack before attempting to cash out.

One caveat for using Minds is that you must mark content that is not safe for work environment as NSFW in the settings before posting. This includes Nudity, Profanity (especially if it's audio), Pornography (yes, they do allow porn as long as you correctly mark it as NSFW), Race And Religion (yes, you can post offensive content as long as you correctly mark it as NSFW), Violence And Gore. There is also the option of "Other" which is a catchall for anything that someone may find offensive but doesn't fall under the more specific categories. As long as the content is legal and you mark NSFW content as such, you are good to go. Failure to mark NSFW content as such will result in penalties up to being banned from the site, so be certain to categorize your posts correctly.

As a bonus method for getting clicks on Minds, some people will mark their post as NSFW when it is not. It's a cheap clickbait tactic, but depending on the category you mark it as, that can actually make it more amusing and get you more up votes.

Again, you don't have to have any of your own original content to get started stacking Minds tokens. Join a group or several groups and repost your favorite memes. The more people liking your post the more tokens you earn.

Another caveat for using Minds is that you can only earn tokens for activity (up votes, reminds, comments) from each person once per day, same as here on Publish0x. This is to prevent you and a group of friends from gaming the system to earn undeserved tokens. Be cool, follow the rules, and don't shoot your load posting all your best content on the first day. Take your time to explore the site and find interesting people to follow. Minds is not about connecting with friends and family, it's about connecting with like minded people who post interesting content.

Personally, I post my own funny memes and make strangers laugh. On a good day I can collect up to 3 Minds tokens for this, though those are rare days. Generally I earn between .25 and 1 token per day with only a handful of posts. Your results may vary. The best strategy is to post at least one item per day, the higher the quality of your content the more you will earn.

STEP 8: INSERT THE TIP

I was about to take for granted that you are reading this on Publish0x, but I realize that doesn't necessarily mean you are a member. If you are not already registered on Publish0x, open this link in another tab and sign up so you can get paid for reading this when you tip at the end:

https://www.publish0x.com?a=5xe7LvNra7

Now that you are a member of Publish0x, you can earn AMPL and FARM tokens for reading blogs and tipping the authors for content that you appreciate and find value in, even if that's purely entertainment value. Hopefully, you have found some educational value in this post and will tip accordingly. Tip now and receive your first fraction of either AMPL or FARM to get started on building your Publish0x stack.

You can earn additional tokens on Publish0x by sharing your own affiliate link which is found under the "Ambassador program" tab. You can also paste your affiliate code to the end of any Publish0x links that you share elsewhere.

BONUS STEP: EXPLORE ANOTHER EXCHANGE

If you want to advance to the intermediate stage and earn an even higher percentage, there are other exchanges which will allow you to collect rewards for tokens that are not stakeable on Coinbase. Remember to keep in mind that gas and network fees do apply for these transfers.

For example, I personally use Celsius to earn 13.99% APY on Synthetix Network Token (SNX) and 10.51% APY on Polygon (MATIC). Celsius also pays a slightly higher rate for ETH at 5.35% APY. Again, this is not advice or an endorsement and is mentioned purely as an educational example of what can be done with your free tokens.

Celsius pays some level of rewards for nearly all of their supported tokens. These rewards are paid out weekly and therefore become compounded. You also have the option to receive your rewards either in kind as the same tokens you are holding or as the native Celsius token CEL. CEL tokens are not currently available for United States citizens or those who are living in the USA. If you are outside of the boundaries of the USA, and you want to try your luck with the CEL token, you have that option available.

If you are feeling adventurous and confident in your ability to advance to the next stage in your crypto development, here is the Celsius link:

"Join Celsius Network using my referral code 11917407e4 when signing up and earn $50 in BTC with your first transfer of $400 or more!"

https://celsiusnetwork.app.link/11917407e4

Again, if you have some money to invest, you can earn a bonus of $50 in free Bitcoin. For a $400 investment that is a 25% bonus.

This is a more advanced operation that you should only undertake if you have some money to invest as it is going to require more than your free tokens from Coinbase are worth. The more you can afford to invest the more these higher rates will benefit you. Remember to be very careful when initiating any transfer to be certain that it goes to the correct wallet address.

There is one exception among the free Coinbase offerings that you can transfer to Celsius and begin earning interest. That's Stellar Lumens (XLM) as their network fees are very low and the minimum to transfer from Coinbase is 2 XLM. Your results may vary depending on the current market price, but $10 in free XLM is likely to be more than enough to get started with this option without having to spend any money. Celsius pays only a paltry 1% APY on Stellar Lumens but that's more than you will receive for leaving your free tokens fallow on the Coinbase exchange. If you want to add to your stack of XLM for free, try the free game above.

Is this enough for now? I think it is. Woof! This has been a lot of work, moonbats. Congratulations on getting this far!

I'm going to stop here, as this is a very good beginning and the rest of the items on my list require further research before I come to a conclusion. Once the other options have been explored and the results are verified, I intend to post an updated version with additional sources and information.

If you found value in this post, please, share the link with your circle of trust and on your preferred social media platforms. Remember to add your affiliate code to the end of the link before sending or posting. Also, remember to insert your tip down below.

Thanks for taking the time to read all the way through, much appreciated!

Until next time, Moonbats, don't let your meat loaf! Be good to yourself and those around you. Now get to stacking those tokens!
