Saved by zero

What do you get when you divide by Zero? Statera-spheric growth!

If you know the answer to the simple question, "What do you get when you divide by zero?", then you know all you need to know about the potential for the price of Statera.  Read on for this engineer's take on Statera's price growth potential.

From their website, "Statera (STA) is a smart contract powered Indexed Deflationary Token (IDT), which synergizes with a trustless and community driven portfolio of class-leading cryptocurrencies."

Wow!  That is a lot to take in in just one short sentence.

Let's break it down.

Smart Contract

Statera Smart Contract

This is what Statera does.  They are part of the DeFi world and people can buy/sell/trade/use various crypto currencies using the smart contracts payed for using Statera tokens.  Any token that will have any real value has to be based on some work that is accomplished.  There are a number of players in the smart contract world, and ultimately it will be Statera's penetration into that market that will determine it's long term viability.

Indexed

One of the key features of Statera is that owners can participate in a number of "automated index funds".  These pools attempt to balance the value of each of the various holdings by selling the token that has gained value.

Deflationary

Normally deflation is not something you want.  But with Statera it is a good thing.  Statera is "deflationary" in that the supply of Statera is constantly decreasing - 1% of each transaction made using Statera is burned/destroyed/removed from the supply.  In addition, all the Statera that will ever exist was created on the day it was launched.  Since then supply of Statera tokens has decreased with every transaction.  With a 1% reduction with each transaction the supply will never reach zero, but it will approach it.

So What Do You Get When You Divide By Zero?

Quick answer - Infinity.

This is what excites me about Statera.  If Statera can penetrate the smart contract marketplace and provide a valuable service, then as the supply of Statera decreases, the value of the remaining Statera should increase.  So if the supply approaches zero, the price of the Satera token should head up. Will it hit infinity?  No... nothing can.  But it is designed to head in that direction.

And for reference, the value of one Statera token on May 29 was $0.00000154.  The current price as of this post is $0.058521 -  that is a gain of 3857169.3%!

That's right, if you had bought $1 dollars worth of Statera on May 29, 2020 it would now be worth nearly $4 million dollars!

Wow.  I think I'm going to buy some today!
