Trickle to A Flood - Early Retirement Plan Update 1

This is an update to my Trickle to a Flood early retirement plan. Briefly, this plan consists of 4 parts.

1. Earn Free Crypto Every Day

2. Passive earnings from mining

3. Invest earnings in new and promising AltCoins

4. Take profits and reinvest profits into more passive earnings and AltCoins and Bitcoin/Etherium

I have been at this for a little less than one month, so lets see where I am.

Free Crypto Earnings

Here are the sources of free crypto I'm currently working. I'm always looking for more good options, so if you have any suggestions please drop me a note in the comments.

Brave Browser - I like many others on here experienced a pretty big drop off of ads coming from Brave this last month but I did get some "awards" from them so that helped me come close to my goal for the month.

- Earnings: 16 BAT, approximately $5

Presearch - I didn't use Presearch as much as I had hoped this last month as I moved to a new Linux based computer and had some difficulty getting the extension to work in the Brave browser. They did make some improvement that makes using Presearch as your default search engine more feasible. If you don't find what you are looking for you can now just click on an icon and do the search at Google or other search engines. But truthfully, I've been finding the Presearch results to be pretty darn close to the Google results.

- Earnings: 80 PRE, approximately $1.40

PublishOx - I haven't been quite as active on Publish0x as I had planned as I found another free crypto program that I had sunk a lot of time into (see next bullet). But I have managed to earn some money here and really want to focus a little more on this site as it really is a great way to earn some free crypto. I've started three blogs, Free Wallpaper of the Day, The Crypto Oracle's Words of Wisdom, and Laugh of the Day. Earnings for this month have been split about 40/60 between tipping and tips received.

- Earnings: $3.70

Uptrennd - Someone suggested Uptrennd as a way to earn free crypto. I don't know if I love them or hate them at this moment but this site has the potential to really earn me a lot of crypto. You earn 1UP by gathering upvotes on posts and comments. You can earn quite a bit of crypto but it can certainly be more like work than of any of the free crypto sites too. It depends on how hard you want to work it. You can earn 20 1UP per day just by logging in every day, while some high level hyper active users are earning a few 1000 1UP per day. I haven't really earned any crypto because so far I have just been using my 1UP earnings to level up since leveling up allows you to earn more for each upvote you get. Right now I've reached level 9 and plan to try and reach level 20 before I start cashing in. If I hadn't leveled up (you need to at least level up to 3 to withdraw) I would have earned around 1200 1UP which at the current price would be around $36. So the potential is there once I reach the level I'm targetting.

- Earnings: 0

EarnCrypto - I wasn't planning on playing any games to earn free crypto but I have found a way to basically use my cell phone to mine Ethereum for me. This site has a bunch of different ways to earn free cypto (you can decide what you want to be paid in from a handful of coins). One of those ways is to download games to your phone and play them to reach a certain level. It is pretty much a rip off because the levels are nearly impossible to reach in the time window they give you (typically 30 days) and you would literally have to dedicate your life to playing the game non-stop to even have a chance to make the levels. But I found an exception! The slot machine games have high rewards and with a few tricks you can get the game to basically play itself by putting it on auto-spin. You just get it started on your phone, ignore it for a few hours, and then check in to see where you are at. Most of the slot games are just knock offs of the same app, so once you figure out how to work 1 game you can work three or 4 more just as easily. I will have pretty much plumbed this well dry and likely won't use it much after this month.

- Earnings: 0.025 Eth, $10

Total for the month from free crypto earnings: around $20. That is pretty much what I was hoping for and think once I turn the 1UP towards profit rather than leveling up I can maybe push that up good bit. Again, I'm interested in other ways to earn free crypto so feel free to drop a note, referral codes are welcome too.

Passive Earnings From Mining

I hadn't really planned to do any mining since everything I had heard was that mining just wasn't profitable anymore. But from some of the stuff I've been seeing that is not necessarily true. So I have decided to give it a try for myself. The following are my two current mining efforts and the amounts I have invested.

Mining With My Old Computer - I have decided to try upgrading one of my old computers to give mining a go. I'm still in process on this so at this point I don't know if I'm just wasting time and money, but it seems like this could work out ok.
- Level of Effort: 5 for now 0 once it gets up and running
- Potential profit: guesstimating around $20/month (current pay off on investment would be around 10 months)
Cloud Mining on DuelMine - From what I had seen, cloud mining wasn't profitable. However, I got pulled in by their free 150 GH/s bitcoin contract. That free contract comes out to around $15 after 2-years, but that got my toe under the tent and I started looking at some of their other offers and the numbers I was seeing made it look very profitable for pretty much anything but Bitcoin. So in a moment of weakness I bought a contract for Ethereum mining (a 2-yr contract for around $230). I had checked their Trust score and it was pretty good so I felt ok with the purchase. But then I read some more reviews on other sites and began to worry that I may have bought myself into a Ponzi scheme. LOL. Oh my. I have some hope that it is not just a Ponzi scheme because so far the mining contract has been under performing by a bit based on what they had marketed. If it were a straight up Ponzi scheme I would have expected them to show exactly what they had indicated or maybe even more to get you to invest more.
- Level of Effort: 0
- Potential profit: $45/month (or a hard lesson learned if it is just a ponzi scheme)

Investing in Promising AltCoins

I plan to use my crypto earnings to buy $5 worth of 3 or 4 alt coins per month. I am just getting ready to start putting this part of the plan into motion. I have started doing some digging on coins I want to invest in and will be making some buys this month. Things I will be looking for include:

The coins purpose/use. Every coin has a project behind it, ultimately the success of any coin will be based on that projects success . I hope to find those new coins/projects who will fill a nitch in the DeFi market. Chainlink is a recent example of a coin that seems to have found a nitch and has grown dramatically over the last several months.
The coins current price. Here I'm looking to get as many coins as possible. The more zeros before the decimal point the better. Finding that altcoin that is sitting at 0.000001 cents but grows to just 0.01 cents represents a 1,000,000% increase.
Trading Volume. The coin needs to have a reasonable trading volume. I will need to be able to sell my coins when/if the time comes.
Wallet Support. Similar to volume, if the coin isn't easily purchased or traded for in my wallet(s) I will have a hard time acquiring it or selling it.

I'll write some posts on what I'm looking to invest in, as well as some I've decided to avoid. I will definitely be interested in feedback from the folks here as I'm pretty new to some of these alt coins.
