Here's to the ones that can't be here
Here's to the ones we'll always hold dear
Here's to the soldiers who died in the field
Here's to the heroes who died as our shield.
This day isn't about hamburgers and fries,
It's not about taking a day off from our busy lives.
It's about honoring those died for our rights
So that we may live peacefully, day and night.
So take a moment today to remember,
Those who died as our defenders.
