Splinterlands | Molten Ash Golem Challenge

Plenty more Chaos Legion cards to go to be featured in the Share Your Battle Challenge for Splinterlands. This week it is the Molten Ash Golem which is a rare Fire Card.

Nowadays, the first thing I tend to look at when selecting cards tends to be the speed. So in the case of the Molten Ash Golem which only has 2, it's an instant letdown making this a cards that is only really useful in battles where there speed is reversed. The main power of this card for sure is the 9 health for a 6 mana cost. The fact that it reduces all the health of enemy monsters by 1 and that it can attack from 1st position for sure is nice but more situational. I can see it used in battles were no armor can be used combined with the Goblin Shaman and the exploding rats in order to potentially kill multiple of the enemy monsters right from the start.

Overall it's an ok card at bets that I don't recall ever having used.

I did use the card with game rules where all monsters got poison and where no heal was allowed since the high health is quite useful in these matches. I had to play my Forgotten one in 1st place as there were few other options even though usually I tend to play it in 2nd or 2rd place as the Immune ability in best case saved 2 damage 1 round in case it survives the first. The Fineas Rage with high speed and good health I put in 2nd followed by the Kobold Miner which has 5 health allowing it to normally survive 2 rounds. The Molten Ash Golem I played in 4th spot followed by the Furious Chicken and in the end the Venari Kinjo which was near sure to survive until the end.

It was a close match that I lost out on mostly because of the speed aspect which is something where the Molten Ash Golem just lacks.
