I am getting more serious about playing the Sorare.com NFT Fantasy Football Game this new football season and will be keeping track of my personal activity in this series of posts.

World Cup Free2Play Sorare Fantasy Cup

With the World cup soon starting, Sorare.com will have a free-to-enter fantasy league for it where everyone gets 100 gems that they can use to make a team. In total there are a lot of prizes to be won. Aside from that there will also the the regular leagues with Limited, rare, ... cards which I likely won't be able to partake in as I have too few actual players that are part of national teams.

So anyone that is planning to watch the world cup and want to give it an extra dimension potentially should have a look at it. I have yet to submit my team.

Continued Bad Results

I guess this entire season will turn into a big learning experience with Sorare as my results remain nowhere. Most of the players I bought so far haven't really turned out into a success and I want to take part in as many leagues as possible which also comes at the cost over the average result and many players have picked injuries or are starting on the bench.

That being said, I'm still kind of having fun with the game even though the honeymoon stage is kind of over

Game Week 318-322 Results

The Limited Challenger Europe league I consider my main but in order to really score well, all your players need to have a great score. Each week at least 1 player didn't play, was poor or started on the bench which made my scoring just plain bad. I basically need a lot more budget in order to be competitive or get really lucky in any given week.

New Player Purchases

I bought 2 new players the past weeks.

Eric Bocat I bought to complete my U23 team as I want to use Debast for my main team since Mata continues to be injured. This was bought played on lowest cost for a defender in the starting 11 under 23 who scores somewhat ok on average.

Arthur Vermeeren: is a youngster from Antwerp in the defensive midfield who is starting to get his chance at times. I did't mind picking him up as a potential talent for the future at not that of an expensive price.

Game Week 322 Line-Up

I put Debast back into my team taking him out of the Under 23 as he's stable in scoring points while Mata likely is still injured and my other defenders rarely play from the start. Yaremchuk was injured for the cup and likely will be my biggest liability not to score any points.

I'm still not expecting much from my Under 23 team mostly because the goalkeeper had no chance of scoring points.

My backup team in the all-start league has no chance whatsoever and is just there to level up players

I'm doing the recalculation every 2-3 weeks as it takes quite some time manually now that I start to own more players.

Conclusion

My interest in Sorare for sure has cooled down a bit seeing how impossible it is to actually get inside the places that have rewards and overall I just haven't played good enough still being in somewhat of a learning stage.
