I got more serious about playing the Sorare.com NFT Fantasy Football Game this new football season and will be keeping track of my personal activity in this series of posts...

This was a great week for Sorare as the English Premier League was introduced along with some new leagues to take part in while I managed to get my best result by far in the Under 23 League. This yielded a Tier 2 Limited card that I was able to sell for 0.027 ETH (worth ~45$ now).

EPL Available + Capped Tournaments

All Premier League teams and players are now available on Sorare which should bring in a ton more players. Along with this 3 new capped Tournaments were introduced wich allow to select 5 players with a combined score up to 220-240-270 based on their last 15 matches. There are both prizes for top spots and also for players that manage to reach a 250 point threshols. I believe it's 5$ in ETH that these will receive. There are no bonuses on these players which makes it great for older cards. This also makes it so that there are plenty of leagues to choose from and if you have enough players of the right league or age you can enter them all if you want. There are also leagues for the more rare type cards to please the whales in the game.

The training also has been adjusted up to maximum 3 teams where players get double experience points while players that are not entered will level up at the base level each week.

New Free2Play Draft Mode

They also changed the Free2Play model to Draft Mode where all Free2Play players are equal since they are able to choose between all players using up to a maximum amount of points. Real prizes can be won but they are very top heavy and there are no more common cards from here on out from what I understand.

Game Week Results

Under 23 League

I have a pretty solid Under 23 team and some needed luck got me up to 375.30 Points and a top 2% finish. This was only 10 spots away from a Tier 1 card but apparently, the place you finish at also makes up how valuable that card of the specific tier is. I also guess that the Tiers are just based on the values the card go on the market so there is a direct correlation between your finishing place and the prize you get.

Reward Card Player
The Tier 2 Reward card was Jester Lindstrom, when you compete in the Under 23 league, you will always get an under 23 player. I did end up selling him at the market price which gives me some funds to invest in cheaper players from the Jupiler League.

Europe Challenger

I still lack competitiveness in the Limited Challenger Europe League since I'm using my better players in the Under 23 League and also because my goalkeeper isn't playing at the moment. I will look to get more players and probably make the Cap 220 League into my 2nd option.

New Player Purchases

I continue to buy more players that I believe are undervalued with an eye on future use or trading profit.

Warleson right now is in the goal for Cercle and he is a keeper with the potential to become a starter, I picked in up for 11.56€ hoping this will 'solve' my goalkeeper issue possibly even in the short run. Right now he's already trading for 17€+. I also Picked up 2 Copies of Antoine Bernier who is the best player of Seraing who are nearly sure to relegate. He should be picked up by another 1st division team and if I'm not mistaken he's on the radar on AA Gent. Brandon Baiye is a young player Eupen picked up as enforcement after somewhat failing in the French League. Krasniqi is one of the young talents of Antwerp who right now is on the bench and Heymans is a regular Midfielder from Charleroi who has goals in him and should be capable to have good performances. So basically 5 players cards as a combined cost of 11.42€ whith some good potential for the near or distant future.

Game Week 343 Line-Ups

I opted for Koita instead of Gueye as I see Stvv > Kortrijk and they play each other with Stvv having the home advantage. I'm hoping Warleson will start again for Cercle but don't expect anything from the Cap 220 & Europe Challenger Leagues at this moment let along from the other leagues I entered.

Conclusion

I continue to be at a slight overall loss (which might actually be profit compared to the general crypto market during the past year) but I'm having plenty of fun playing the game. At this pace of regulary getting some rewards it should also be a matter of time before I'm overall in a profit.
